hmm alright..! thanks.. seems that the -ve connection still have room for tightening.. have done it.. will monitor a few days more.. just wanna ask.. does taking short trips like less than 10 mins eat up more batt? like not enough time to charge the batt?

hmmm bro jiaxian..i think to me this is grey area..i have read of some people who live just 10mins ride away from their workplace..he reported that his batt weak very fast, coz that 10mins is not enough to recharge the battery..so i took heed to what he said, and always walk to nearby coffee shop etc.

to me, i dunno if it's really true (gotta get opinion from ah pek's technical prowess on this) or it's just a common rider's belief ah..

Should not be..battery should be well charged actually while riding.

If this is happening sensing that your battery is discharging to load greater than it should, life span of battery is about up..can't hold charges. Good to have a "Power Charger" installed and effective good grounding (not sure how mototiam does it but I do my own).

Haha. Dude, riding from Hall 6 to CEE block doesn't take 10 minutes. More like 45 seconds. :cheeky:

Aiyah...do grounding and install a EPS power charger lah...gives better constant stable current charging and enhance battery and rectifier life span...oso backup battery load anytime with higher current rating.

HAHA... ah pek... u still remember tat time u told me the mech change your bike rear socket to a wrong size? Mine is the same size as your's... But the speed difference for that 2 extra socket causes such a huge difference ar?

Sorry...the post earlier did not get thru...damn server too busy thingy is getting into my nerves!

Oh yes...tat's very true indeed. Pick up like machiam Cho_Kim (rush for free gold) like that...and engine braking like tyre is made of antiskid rubber like that. Anyway..slack the chain more than usual to getter better drag to 10=-13 rpm and more roll for engine braking. Actually not bad lah...

Fellow non-vtecs,

What is your opinion of using car oil filters on our bikes?

Recently I went to a hardware store (industrial area) selling car oils, spare parts etc. The shop owner told me that bike owners have been buying car oil filters for their bikes. The car filters (honda,suzuki..) cost $6, compared to our HO bike oil filters @ $15!

I tried searching some articles on the net about this, but couldnt find much info. Some websites say that car oilfilters have a higher 'bypass pressure', whatever that means.. so it is bad, blah blah

Welcome any options, thanks!!

These shops also sell S4 units. Just have to so them a sample or the part number. Heard that Toyota mid range cc cars are using same as S4.

Never heard of but could be true...but to make your engine "bad"..I can't analyse why it can be. We use to use car oil filters..the bigger the better as long as the hole diameter, screw in thread size and lenth is the same.

The mounting rack needs to be customized. I did mine down at sengkwang.

I think another alternative is 219. They might be able to do it there too.
