.how abt u buy from private seller..if u wait a bit n save up a bit more get 2.5k...maybe u got some bargainin power...jus pay straight cash....so u dont have to worry if some mths u wanna party hard..den oh oh..i aint got money to pay fer my installment..

 

ns eh..hmm..how abt u sign on?....at least u wont be struggling to pay for tires....or maintainance.....the cheaper tires alone front n back for long lasting like macadam 50 or arrowmax like 200 plus...cheers....

I ride at 70km/hr only...please please dont blow2 at me or overtake me dangerously....wait i change into Incredible Hulk n dont know why my little baby bike will always be ahead of u if u do that

Look around in the Garage Sales section. If your budget is $1k plus, I'd suggest that you stay on with whatever you're riding now, cos with that budget, you can either get a S4 without COE extension, or a bike with tons of problems.

 

The last Ver S was in late 2008 to early 2009. So I would assume that all the remaining Ver Ses on the roads already have their COEs renewed. So expect to pay at least $2.5k to get one.

yoo ah pek..my meter lights n fuel gauge ok now...went to ah chong...fixed the harness there..some bunch of wires wic he redo...i dont tink i cld have found the fault without his help...

 

now to figure out why my coolin system is boiling after i ride hard for half an hr even after i have top up with coolant and around 4 mths ago change to a coolant pump n got a new a coolent cap from ah boy jus last week..the thailand made one from ah boy...

well he charge me $35 bucks......well one of his workers open up the meter harness there...den cut open e harness covering.....this ah chong arrow straight to some 5 small wires wic was connected to one wire wic was connected to one major wire connected to the harness...this particular connection was previously taped up with black tape.....i wonder why it was done that way though.....

 

.he then tell his worker to retrim and reconnect back the wires....then it was ok..maybe water seep in and short circuit inside the wire?....

 

anyways i notice another set of wires similarly taped up this way in the same harness.

 

anyways i notice when topping up my radiator tru the cap there...when i rev the bike...the water overflow out instead of suckin it in...i had to pour e coolent with the engine off

 

..looks like the symtom when i had when my coolant pump seals leaked..so had to change to a new one...but heck...i jus changed around 4 months back...

 

..or maybe like wat u say...some of the hose clogged..il try to do a flush first with some chemicals...thanks ah pek for breakin it down...

if i wana decarbonise my headers, how much u guys think it costs?

 

Guess there is no market value..it's more of how much you are willing to fork out. It can be at least half a day job for a proper thorough cleaning.

 

If you have power drill and a cable extension with a steel circular bristle brush attached..it will do the job. But know that the header need to comes off..the whole pipe actually and believe so, the header gasket need to be replaced before installing back.

 

Why do you need to do it in the first place. Four strokes header don't get carbon build up as bad as 2 strokes bike.

Thanx ah pek for the oil change with 'CLS & X1R lube' yesterday. Now my bike is in superb conditioning with no ping or tak2 sound.. start the bike tis morning.. it was like a brand new engine man... totally superb.. yesterday nite tried to chiong at ecp, it was a tremendous effect on my bike.. no speed & power lag man.. easily ride to 180km/h within mins.. now awaiting for the next programme... U're a genius man.. well since im in the chemical line dat was a good 'combo' dat u use.... upzz for the old man!! will update u after 300km..

Haha you can consider opening a motordiam yourself specialise s4.. I think a lot of pple will go to you.. Btw Ah pek, my oil change is nearing and really need a change. But then the thing is me now quite low on cash so i dunno if your blend pricing is ok for me to purchase.. Sad.. My bike (x1) can't seem to sell of..

How much do you normally spend on servicing? What oil you use for per litre?

Oil Filter?

 

If you can afford mototiam servicing cost, mine you sure can afford lah..no labour charge but on way here must ta-pow Kor_Pee_Orh :angel: The only thing that you may not have is X-1R.

ah pek,i still cant find the clear tail light cover..anybody know where to find?

 

Aiyoh...Ah Pek bike very stock one lah..never play with this type of things...oso belly pan, balancer, posh back suspension raiser, scramble handle bar, Sai Toa, shrouds..etc.

 

I can only help trounleshoot things I know and make your bike whistle :angel:

Ah pek i got a few qns i wanna ask after riding a few days and pillioning a few pple and getting their feedback..

 

1. I noticed that even if i ride alone and go through a hump. My rear suspension will like hit the bottom sound and then bounce back and hit the top sound.. It will be worst when i pillion pple and go through a hump. The tak sound is pretty scary like hitting the bottom on the hump..

 

2. When i ride and go though uneven road.. My front fork will auto go up and down right..? Mine will go down and hit the bottom of the suspension and tak sound will come out from it.. Also cos if this my suspension when moving straight some times will feel it have a sudden jerk to left or right like my springs of fork not working well like that.. Really bad man.. Super need help.

Sounds as though both your forks and your shocks are not doing their dampening job as they should be.

 

For 1., can you confirm that the "tak" sound comes from the shocks itself, or is it the bottom of your header hitting the apex of the hump? It's pretty normal once your shocks need servicing.

 

For 2., its high time you serviced both your front forks. It's pretty hard to damage the springs inside. It's more of the fork oil has lost its dampening effect, either due to age or mixing with rain-water etc. Most times, the circlips inside are all rusty and damaged already. Market price would be about $80 - $100 for fork servicing. Repair it immediately if its affecting your safety. :thumb:

Ah Pek has the contact for rebuilding the stock Showa shocks. If i remember correctly, its about $250, at a shop called Teck Thye. Or you could try aftermarket ones like Gazi, Hyper..

Heh Marcheline...right on mannn! Yes, Teck Thye...shock rebuild is $240 for, disassembling, cleaning, extra ring spacer for spring rebound (free), renew oil and nitrogen gas refill. Any damage internally can be rectified will be done but if your piston is badly damaged inside after all the tok!_tok!..that I dunno..he will tell you first.

 

DON'T DO front fork from him..he charges $150 for the same thing done else where at $90. He may use fork oil but for $60 more..does not quite make sense. Others may use 2T oil but if you asked me..its ok with 2T oil. Fron't fork seal and cover, washed + oil top up (make sure you asked for 450 cc at least). My concern is wheather you have damaged the pistion (Plunger with oriffices) inside the fron't fork. From the way you describe..mannn!..your back and front fork is getting helluvah beating! DON'T Tong_Pang anymore!

when i drag gear right before i change gear, the sound is muffled, the kind you'd hear when you gurgle ur mouth with listerine, its not smooth at all. its like the header is congested or something (imagine a straw with a jelly black pearl in the middle and when you try to blow the pearl off its difficult and you'd have to blow damn hard)my end can is a yoshi and its only 3 mths old, serviced carb last month inc tuning and everything

How old is the bike? Have you seek a few mechanic opinion about this? Frome what I read, you were just thinking that it's your exhaust. I have seen so many bikes above 10 yrs liao but never heard of anyone doing decarbonising just yet.

 

Not blaming the mech that does your carbs servicing and tunning but best to go back to him and asked him why rather than guess work. It could be due to what he did. Was it like that before you change to ur 3 months old Yoshi? I personally still think its not the header.
