Have you tried Motoworld? Otehrwise, go check with Aprilla..they may have..otherwise, Internet shopping liao.

But in the meantime, do what we spoke off on the phone..that's, using the cooker hood filter mesh..about 3 to 4 layers cut to fit and smear lightly with "Singer" oil. It be as good as hi-flow without grits getting intot he carb.:sian:

well... we are paying customers, whether loan or full cash. we can choose not to patronise the shops with bad reputation or with fugged up service.

for me, i will just bring my money else where. loois, mah, asp... etc etc. tons of other shops out there. or private sellers.

an advise to ppl who gonna buy from shop. get few experience bikers to go with u when going for viewing.

Yo bro,

sad to hear that man.

i also gt a few small probs yday and brought it back to the workshop yday morning. the mechanic there vewry friendly although i went to disturb them early in the morning. after fix my meter light and box, still ask me if there is anymore probs they can help. i would say their mechanics are all very friendly.

:)

haiz... :( glad to hear everything working out well for u bro.. the extra 1k u pay more then me was worth it after all.. the money is paying for itself now.. sigh.. guesse lady luck abandone me bah.... sigh... :(

You should have said. "I buy the bike from you and i expect the bike to be in a good condition. Since now the bike is not in the condition that i expect it to be, you should help me fix that because i bought it from you. Not other bike shop but YOU. Now im asking you to fix the problem but you are giving me another problem and what do you think of your service MR. LIM. I made a appointment with you guys and came here from JURONG just to rectify this prob and yet you did not even apologized and ask me back as you are not able to fulfill your duties."

anyway your warranty still got how long more ?

wat u say very true la bro.. :( but when i first bought my phantom from Yew Heng Motoring (S1), i tio cheat upside down once before liao.. then i decide to try out another shop which was this First Motoring la.. and like i said, "paying customers" kanna treat really well there.. that experience made me commit my second mistake of buying bike from there.. i'm really learning the HARD way bro.. sigh... anyways my warrenty left 3 weeks more.. so i was thinking maybe this sunday or next sunday go find Ah Pek bro and the rest of the super4 bros to have a look at my bike.. sigh....

look on the bright side. ur problem not as big as mine

bikeshop warranty is worth sh|t. u got problem and push back, they just find some reason to put u off. i bought a R1 from one of the advertiser in this forum, and found out the piston ring is worn out. go back and kpkb, only to get the sh|tty answer "old bike liddat one mah"

knn. and this is after i got a fren to buy a 07 busa from them. !@#%@#$! will not recommend anyone to this shop anymore. even if their machine price is low.

their mech also totally cmi one. on the collection day, tell me warm up bike, do everything nicely for me. i rode out less than 5 mins bike died on me and need to call tow truck. found out there was water in the fuel tank.

to date, i spent coming to 1.2k to repair the bike and still need abt 1.8k to get all the problems fully rectified. with all these money i spent, can get newer bike liao. shall not review the shop's name cos they have a reputation of sueing ppl.

thanks for sharing yr experience bro.. sigh.. i should have really learnt my lesson the first time i tio cheat by Yew Heng Motoring. haiz.. that reminds me, when i went to pay deposit for the bike, i met another bro from SBF who bought phantom from First motoring. He was there as his bike leaking oil from header just as his 1 mth warrenty finished.. i sumore can tell him, 'don't worry bro, First Motoring can be "trusted".' phui...!! that why i wanted to share my encounter to warn other bikers bro to be careful when buying bike from First Motoring... haizz.. :(

Screw that warranty **** man. For those bulbs, you can either change them yourself, or head about 20m down the same street to Planet Motorshop. You won't regret doing business with the mech and shop owner.

yea bro.. i heard quite a number of ppl mention that Planet is quite good.. but after getting cheated at Yew Heng Motoring, frankly abit phobia to try new shop.. but since u recomend, i would definitely give Planet a try in the future! thanks bro!! :)

Well..all its all nice b4 purchasing the bike, but after money transaction and purchased..its almost the same everywhere. Too bad its not me..yes, I will proceed with legal action.

The thing is that its getting so common these days..you ppl are young and 1st time owner and they know how to play their game. In most cases, a piece of '****' is being sold..what I'm saying here they DO KNOW that its a machine sold with problems. If they were to do a good job before selling, the price would be much higher and their sales would move very slow as ppl, just like anyone else are looking for the best bargain and comparison. At any rate, if you felt that you had paid a higher price and expected a safe and proper good condition one, by all means..get to the bone of it with them make them learn not to take things for granted.

Anyway..thanks for sharing. Lots of ppl visiting the thread here would benefit from your encounter. I do not at all feel that you are talking down "First Motoring"..they deserve to be exposed here of their kind of after sales service. As for the meter and how it was done, I would have told the mech off right in the face that if this is your bike and good $$$$S been paid for, would he have accepted it. Bosses in most shop are too busy making $s in interest and loan from sales of bike..they heck care how their mech do a quality job.

Just remember the next time..when you have the right of matters..you don't shout, they wont know.

Anyway..there may be more 'hidden' problems or unknown on your bike that you are unaware off. Get to mixed and know others to help out. If there is and Mr Lim is not willing to recorrect or honor his warranty, aget a few S4 rider down to his shop with you..it makes a different when all dismount from their rie and walk right in askking for him. Am not refering to "threats" but that there are ppl who knows about S4 so its time for me to talk sense for the $$$$s he earned. Better have your bike check by some experience fellow riders.

wat u said very very true bro.. that's y i partly blame myself oso.. i was to clouded by the "cheap" offer they gave me.. at a point i was thinking to myself it didn't feel rite getting the bike at that price.. then again i didn't want to let the opportunity go and bought the bike in a rush... sigh.. :(

and yes bro, u're right again.. my intention is not to bad-mouth First Motoring or anything.. But i just don't want other fellow biker bros to suffer the same fate as me.. sigh... :( and now i'm paying for my grave mistake... haizzz..

like i said bro, i don't have any friends who ride super4 except for u bros here.. most of my friends all ride small bikes.. so i was thinking maybe this sunday or next sunday come down to yr kopi session to let u and the other super4 bros to hav a look at the bike if its ok with u, bro?

Wah_Lau!!!...this type of Cab driver oso got!..hipe they can get the cab driver. Careful guys!

Cabby deliberately knocks over motorcyclist http://www.asiaone.com/a1media/site/common/blank.gif A cabby deliberately knocked over a motorcyclist after the two were involved in a road dispute, Chinese evening daily Wanbao reported.

According to witnesses, the cabby immediately left the scene after the motorcyclist fell over.

The incident turned into a car chase when a lorry driver who witnessed the incident gave chase.

The fracas occurred at the junction of Tampines Avenue 4 and Tampines Avenue 1 on July 30 at about 12.40pm.

Witnesses told Wanbao both the cabby and the motorcyclist were involved in an overtaking dispute earlier on.

Mr Tan Wen Chao, who witnessed the incident, told Wanbao that the cabby had horned at the motorcyclist after both stopped at the red light.

Both parties started arguing and the cabby made rude gestures at the motorcyclist, Mr Chen told Wanbao.

Mr Chen added, "I thought it was fine if both parties just sparred with words."

Mr Chen said then the lights turned green. Both cabby and motorcyclist began to move off.

But suddenly, the cabby swerved, knocked into the motorcyclist and sped off.

Other witnesses even added that it was the cabby's second attempt to knock over the motorcyclist. The first had failed.

The indignant Mr Chen then decided to give chase in his lorry after checking that the motorcyclist had received help.

The chase, however, was shortlived as Mr Chen lost the culprit at Tampines Central.

After circling around the area for a while, Mr Chen made a police report, Wanbao reported.

Read CAREFULLY :sian: again Hanxx..its not about them being careless..it's saying the cab driver DELIBERATELY bang the rider down..TWICE in attempt. To me, its that he wants him to 'die' like that.:sian:

If the rider fell and hit a vital part and fies..or a car from beside runs over him causing death..mann!..we are talking about a case of "manslaughter"..that that's serious.

However this time is cyclist.

I was on the right of this RED MAZDA 3 at a red light traffic junction.

This uncle came by whistling on the mazda's left. as he was in his dreamland , he knocked the mazda's front left hand side. such a loud impact , HE THEN raise UP HIS HAND TO APOLOGISE BUT HE CYCLED INFRONT OF THE CAR.

AND THIS MAZDA WIND DOWN HIS WINDOW AND SAID AH CEK , LE ZUO SIMI LJ and HE REV HIS CAR TO INCH FORWARD TO SCARE THE UNCLE , THE UNCLE ZI TOU FALL DOWN STILL RAISING HIS HANDS UP TO SAY SORRY.

AS I WAS BESIDE THE WHOLE INCIDENT , I DIDN'T KNOW WHETHER TO LAUGH OR WHAT.

Green light , i just sped off with a wide grin.

There are many ways of doing it lah. What you said oso can..just get the diameter of the carb's inlet or outer circumference. You can also use a "secondary" hose as a link (ducting) to fit whatever filter you can find (bigger one), just be sure that the "ducting" short length can fit into the carb's inlet.

anyway i called up ah boy , he told me k&n air filter 20$ he sell me.

Should i be happy or?

Is it a fake 1?

I won't know..my question is that does it fit? Might as well asked them to install it. At least you know your carb internal is protected..you don't have much choice.
