Hi guys, new owner of an 2nd hand Ver S here!

 

Havent been riding for past 1yr and just ride this bike, despite been an old bike, still a big diff in the feeling from 2b 2-stroke sports bike...

 

Really like the smoothness and sound of the exhaust hehe...

 

Anyway since its a 2nd hand bike and im not sure what previous owner did, is there anything i should check for just in case? Im thinking of sending it to bike shop to change engine oil, oil filter and spark plugs... what else shld i get the mechanic to check? btw what is radiator flush/engine ice, is it necessary?

 

What kind of oil do you guys recommend?

 

Also, just curious to find out if anyone knows if i can get a "chiong" or original headlight for S4 and how much will it cost?

 

I was quoted ~140 at my bike shop for chiong with signals and installation, is it alright?

 

also, what is the main diff between verS compared to its vtec brothers? no vtec does it mean it will be less "power" at certain rpm? am still a noob thus some many qns...

Just any motobike shop sure have but opt for Denso preferably..just my personal preference. Normal standard will do at about $8 to $10 a piece. Forget about LAB Iridiumn at $15 a piece...don't think they are Japan direct thru Denso Singapore. Original cost about $80+ to $95. Anyway, with my grounding and eo, you don't need Iridiumn plugs..does make your bike any smoother or faster. I'm using "Nology" plugs now, best in the world with silver electrode core at $128...oso no added performance. Looks like our setup hit the maxs:angel:..but of course I have two EPS unit lah...

Nology agent in Malaysia, only seller now is in UBI beside T.W auto beside XTREME motor. u sud try the plug cable, plug is normal. i using the cable on my car not for D.I.S bike. CB400 vtec can use, but damn expensive.

 

Denso is high firing plug, old bike not advice temperature will rise.. do note not every bike is the same, so meaning not every bike is compatible. new bike can but old & not properly maintain bike use at your own risk

Also denso are sensitive plug, rich setting will fault the plug easily.

I expected you to know since you are selling product like Revtec and PA.

 

Do you have a CCA measuring meter for a start? If you have, try measuring the CCA reading for your Revtec and PM, PM2 or even PM Auto and get yourself a EPS unit and see for yourself.

 

Perhaps it be a great help if you could tell us all here why is it call a "Voltage Stabliser"..like what does it stblised, how does it fuction as a stabliser and th advantage?

 

In the first place, why do a motorbike need a voltage stabliser? If one wants to have consisten and steady current thruput and steady constant voltage...it's in the best of interest that the owner of the bike get a Japan made originl dry cell Yusa battery that is MF sealed from the factory. Cos alot more at about $180..but last you trouble free for 4 years AT LEAST..I have seen 5 years usage. Those ppl that have their battery changed at $65 to $75 (last a year to one and the half) for their S4 are diifferent from I just said..take $65 x 4yrs...which is a better investment?

 

I have USED PM2 and personally I don't find it at all working for me. Just with my delta loop grounding depening on version of S4..it function far better without it. I'm not talking down your product but an honest view as a user and customer.

Did I say I'm selling? Like I say earlier as a reply to your earlier post, if your company is interested and for business intent not asa use end, I can help out..not selling. There are a lot of EPS user out there now thru me..they get better than of the shelf price thru me that's all. Ifyou are interested, I can always arrange that.

Did I say "I cannot"?..I can if I want to but its not my preference for the moment..and why should I promote it here?...and does saying not a sale man for the product borther you..sound like you are making a claim on ppl's right. You need not worry about the details and such for now as your interest is only considered superficial. I am not into business like you ppl but I can undrstand the opportunity for you guys. I am here only to rcommend and share what is good for our S4 fellow riders.

Yes..I know u are talking about the "firewire"..its not readily availabl for bikes and never will till someone here can cater to this business. Its good because the whole length of the cable is actually not a cable as it seem..but a capacitor...design wise...respect..respect.

Hi all, my bike currently when i am idling at traffic light at gear 1, its seams like the engine feel like dying off.. the rpm goes down to rpm 1 than up again to rpm 1.5 than down again, its like idling not consistent... Is it time for me to change to a new spark plug?, anyone can help me?... seems like my ver s starting to give problems, jus now coolant leaking, spend $30 at bike shop to fix it... haizzz.....

Rough idling and needle fluating are common in old bikes and the causes can be quite a bit of things...but mainly point to the carbs.

ya, saw the uncle use this one bottle of radiator sealant like that, i see made in germany, haha... He just pour inside my radiator.. Not 100% confirm work, but he say can try first, so far so good no leaking for now... And Ah Pek, i managed to solve the idling prob by chance, its actually my battery going weak, halfway through my journey at red light suddenly bike feel like dying, so i go bike shop, there swee2 battery flat, checked n its batt flat plus rectifier spoilt, rectifier $75, bat $65 after discount $130, dunno kena chop or not... Thanks 4 ur advice Ah Pek, maybe i can try out ur EPS device, looking for more smoother ride....

bro what type of leakage are u experiencing? my never leak to the ground just when riding few hot drops of coolant will sometimes splash on my right leg. yours the same?
