Hi, is anyone servicing their fork?

 

I've got 2 X fork clips, fork seals & dust covers (brand new) for sale.

 

Bought from Everfit and mechanic said doesn't need to change if it isn't leaking.

 

Letting go for $34, bought for $38 or $39 if im not wrong.

i'll take your advice & ride ard 2-3 wks to get a feel of the current performance so after i take up your 5 steps can really feel the diff.

 

but i think i need to change the tires soon cos my rear skidded a bit today. you recommended arrowmax right? i'm not so concerned w fc; just want good & safe grip. is there any particular place you'd recommend to get them done? otherwise i'll just go to h&k @ ubi which my friend recommends & ask them to order for me & change.

 

anything else you think i shld change @ the same time too? i'm thinking more on safety than anything. chain & sprocket?

To have a real piece of mind and trouble free bike base on my evaluation of your bike..have the following done...

 

1) Front wheel axle bearing and back wheel axle bearing replaced.

 

2) Yap..get GT501 Dunlope Arrow Maxs..should not exceed $220...usually around $210 for a set..front and back. For your weight and size, I recommended you have your front tyre air pressure 240 and back 270. Careful when your tyres are new..you new to 'seat' it in for about the first 10km or less and get use to it.

 

3) Have your set of sprocket replace and get a new DID Japan "X" ring chain.

 

4) Have your old coolant replace after the system is being rinse.. Make sure they don't use premixed or concentrated coolant that is mixes with tap water. Can tell you its hard to tell unless you prefer to DIY.

 

If you want, can bring you to the mototiam nearby my place here. Tyres changing and wheel bearing + sprocket set change set change takes the most 2 hours or less f you come early being the first customer.

Reached office...check bike.... KNN!!!!

Petrol leaking at the reserve switch area .....

Coolant leaking at the 1 of the pipes near the reserve switch....

I think the motodiam mech cannot make it other than change engine oil, air filter, oil filter.

Later must bring to Planet ask Ah Chong to check liao.

What mototiam is that?..Planet?..if not, should go back to them. May be your eo is even not change...LOL! Yes, eo not even changed..happened before!

 

prepare $110 to replace yur fuel kork unless its not tighted at its throat to the tank base.

If your fuel kork was already a problem..being a one man show..likely he don't have the xtra hand to do errand to get the parts. As for your coolant hose leak..the same goes unless the circlip is not properly tighten..something you can DIY with just a screwdriver. Fuel kork too...go LAB and get a new one and have it replace by unscrewing the old unit and replacing with the new one just that you have to drain out the petrol if full, otherwise at reserve, just tilt the tank forward. You need a size 27 "C" spanner.

 

The next time, near or far or how honest..you still the 'borne looser'..make sure the bike shop has done S4 regulary b4. Anyway..hope he did not charge you for the things that were not done..not sure what you meant by "repair" though.
