just skidded and buang on PIE Lane 1 because a female rider jammed brake.

So to avoid collision,i jammed brake and fish-tail..and of cos,i fell.

 

It's a unlucky day for me.

LOL,didnt tailgate,and its so jammed even on lane 1 on PIE.

Well,can only take it as a lesson and be MORE careful in future.lol

i ONLY dare to tailgate lady driver if i drive the Y plater vehicle :cheeky:

hey guys! my bike was fine e whole day until i rode over to my fren's place in potong pasir.

parked @ his place for bout 3 hours.

den in e end,i could not start my bike! tried using "push start".

attempted umpteen times but failed!

the neutral light indicator became dim & soon went off even though my ignition was still on.

even my front pilot lights became dim!

wad could be e prob?

my carbon starter?? :cry:

took the last bus back home in e end! o_O

my oil now is 20/40w.

if I change back to a 20/50w oil, do I need to change oil filter?

I just had it installed last month. :-?

 

 

Hmmmm....forgot about your oil filter question. No, no need. Normally if you change at between 3k to 5k, the oil filter need to be changed only once at every two oil change.

Time to change your battery..but then again, you should be able to push start your bike. How do you do your push start anyway?

hey guys! my bike was fine e whole day until i rode over to my fren's place in potong pasir.

hi i had a similar problem some days back where by bike couldn't start even though i had just turned off the engine a few min ago. after many attempts & some fiddling ard w the choke/kill switch etc it was able to start again.

 

turns out that my kill switch contact pt is faulty so the engine kill was on even though the switch was at "run" position. i'm not sure if this could be a common problem for old bikes?

His symptom and yours is different so unlikely its the "kill" switch.

Ah Pek: thanks for the advice over the phone today! by the way, can i just check if u still do carb wash? how much for all of the carbs? do u do during weekdays? maybe at do together at ur fren's workshop when i change my tyres?

i tried push starting e bike but it died after a while.

jus changed to a new battery.

true enuf like wad ah pek said, its e battery.

paid $85 for a YUASA battery & $20 for towing.

bike is fine now! :angel:

your yuasa battery is chong one. fyi

 

Not say really "Chiong" lah...just that its a different made for lower budget need requirement. Last about a good year and if you are lucky..one and a half or so more. Type for non-Vtec is YTX 9 and Vtec YTX 7 (smaller..non Vtec can use oso).

 

The good one is Yuasa MF YTX-10S (direct made in Japan and comes with no eletrolytes to filled)...can get from Boon Siew at $220 and last easily 4 continous years or 5 years). Cheaper else where if you can find.:sian:

Ah Pek, I saw somewhere else in forum that someone got a YTZ10S-MF battery, is it the same as MF YTX-10S???
