Yuasa Battery reference and catalog for you guys who are interested in what you are buying. When you are looking at the charge with reference to the model you have..look out for the important things like the "CCA" values (the battery strength), dimension (fit in your battery compartment). As for charging rate..its not that important. Here you go...

This Staurday Blk 409 kopitiam nobody. May be Sunday.

Yah...good idea to go back and get a warranty free service repair. Tell them about your coolant and do a chemical flush first if possible. Make sure the coolant is premixed with distilled water type and is colorised so that any engine block or where else leak can be seen and detected. Good luck.

It been cured..thkx..sun ?? No prob..time u let mi knw.. Cheers

hi ah pek, i left my bike at ah fook's to change air filter to k&n & some other stuff (yuasa batt, did x ring, sprockets etc).

i was reading in the air filter thread that some ppl claim there's a need to tune carbs after changing to high-flow k&n air filter if not bike runs too rich? i'm not too sure abt that though. what's your thoughts on this?

I would not say who is right and who's not, however, I would explain and you decide.

It does not make sense that that the bike runs too rich. Logically, changing to high flow filter only makes air entry to your airbox at a faster rate thus volume builds up fast. The size of the airbox in design has a reason, that is to be filled at all times for its requirement into the carbs when the need be. The lean or richness of air/fuel mixtures are DETERMINED by the air and jet screw setting thus to say, the intake of this is 'preset'. Any extra volume in the airbox does not make any difference.

Any variation of air/fuel can only be affected..say too "rich" is when fuel is more then air and this occurrs only when the fuel jet setting or opening is on the high setting side. Go figure.:sian:

"..Front 110/70 Rear 150/60"...meaning front is higher and thinner and back broader and low profile. :faint:

If you are riding PB1 or non vtech, I suggest you stick to the recommended front 110/70 and back 140/70. But if you having a good load of what you have and been using, I have no comment. Best not to have mixed "height profile".

thanks for the explanation! i was quite skeptical too when i read abt that, but didn't understand how the bike works too well.

anyway i can't wait to collect & try out the bike after changing the stuff. after riding ard a bit to try out the difference fr all these new parts, i'll be contacting you soon for help to do grounding (finally!) to really improve my bike's performance.

Anytime..and nothing formal and always a casual call away. Btw..was pretty surprised that a 'jammed' indicator needle does affect rpm...LOL!..must be from a damn hard jolt that causes it.

Ride safe :)

Slow rpm..it's the eo. Heat robs power-->heat is generated by friction--> in all causes drags. Get rid of the friction..you get rid of the 'problem'.

Grounding when does correctly..your ignition coil get the best it has to produce a good spark.

In summary..yes unless tehre are other problems like dirty carbs and bad spark plugs.:sian:

hi bro i riding vtec 1 too. I asked around & heard a lot of "stories" abt grounding- some say no effect, some worse than before and some really rejuvenate the bike. I finally decided to try out ah pek's & the immediate effect u feel is throttle more responsive! u can really feel the before/after difference!

Now i'm monitoring fc to compare fuel effeciency (but hav to maintain usual riding style & control my urge to open the new gained power alrdy... :cheeky:)

Any premixed coolant will do. Can get from petrol kiosk. Careful when you get engine-ice!...dunno why they dried up so fast..may be imitation ones. If you want the one I used..just pm or sms me.

You have to monitor. A "normal" situation is when coolant in reserve tank last for at least 6 months. Level depicts very slowly.

Ah Pek... Oh no it happen again... This morning came bk from JB, while awaiting at the last custom last check point, one kind malaysian uncle biker pointed out to me that my "tan-ke jui" leaking... Its jus a 10min wait/queue, its started boiling...

When I reach home, I check the reservior, its EMPTY ! Before that it still inbetween the high n low marking...

Sian.... Top up again with the merz coolant... Now left a little bit...

Any suggestion Master ?
