Ah pEk, Here's an update.. Currently the throttle a bit hard like u said and the rpm abit slow then usual... and also the engine braking can really feel even on 6th gear while cruising.. still monitoring the fuel consumption though...

There is ALWAYS a Motorcycle overtaking your CAR!! DRIVERS, be sure to check ur BLINDSPOT!!

yes..sign of it building up the cyclinder wall..inshort, regaining compression.

Hi guys,

got a question,

when i tried to shift my gear up from 5 to 6,

sometimes it doesn't lodge properly and dropped into free gear.

is this normal?

 

i just encountered it few days ago when i kick the gear up,

it doesn't engage and go into free gear.

did it 3 times in a row and finally left it running at gear 5 as it doesn't get engaged.

after i stopped at traffic light and move off, it became okay..

any advice?

I'm juz a HELL RIDER..

not a RACER..

pm him and he will inform you how to contact him.. what can you do for servicing? standard stuff.. change of engine oil, spark plugs.. less often servicing like changing fork oil, suspension servicing, change of chain and sprocket, tyres,

:confused:...looks like one of those things that does happened once in a long while without a proper answer.:bouncefire:

 

Anyway..check your chain..make sure its not over slack and your clutch adjustment (left handle side) that the fine cable adjustment screw stalk is nott oo far out or cable too slack.

erm hey dudes my ver s juz come out den juz did overhaul le but i dunno wat to do after tat... need 2 run in rite ard 3k - 5k? avg speed before can ZUA... haha...

"Overhaul" is a "BIG" thing and yo "WHAT" is also a BIG ? Now..what was changed in your overhaul? You can't possible have your cyclinder block replace in total...so no more 'virgin'..new piston with rings set can just ride mormally..just no red line tarek for awhile. Once you feel roughness..that's the limit for that instant in rpm.

hey ah pek... i just finish my first tank after changing ur nano.

mileage no difference... maybe cos not full tank when change eo.

used 50+km den change eo. my mileage for full tank still about 260km.

 

'tightness' on the throttle felt just like the others.

 

still haven get used to the original end can. duno how to explain though.

on the old operated end-can when i open throttle my rpm shoots very fast all the way till red-line and at certain rpm range ard 5-7 rpm got very 'flat' spot. very hard to maintain at a certain rpm so i always wack through all the gears.:cheeky:

now after changing to the original end can and ur nano eo, i can maintain at any rpm for as long as i like. plenty of torque throughout the rpm band.

...but it make mi even more throttle-happy though... :p:P

 

kudos ah pek.. thanks. u make my bike feel so different since the first day i send my bike to u. it changes the way i ride and the way my bike is ridden.:faint: u injected so much 'life' into my ride.:faint:

Yah mannn!...power to ur ride. Plse do monitor the next full tank for me..and errr..don't throttle happy leh..another nano also won't help...LOL!:angel: Not to worry about the end can lah..you get used to it sooner or later. At least can go tunnel without damaging your eardrums.:)

bike acceleration in gear 1 feels very slow with strong engine brake and like got lesser pulling force as compared to gear 2 3 & 4.

 

from 1 to 6 rpm for all gears, bikes feels as though that there's very little pulling force for a 400cc (torque).

 

is it because of the clutch plate, ah pek?

 

 

i tried dragging the other time till redline for gear 1 to gear 6.

 

gear 1 can hit 60 km/h

gear 2 can hit 70 km/h

gear 3 and 4 stays at 80km/h (even though RPM is increasing for like 2k to 2.5k rpm)

only after gear 5 and 6 is engaged, bike is able to hit 100km/h

 

is it because of the gear ratios of the bike? or because of the shifting? or because of the worn out clutch plate again?

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

May be may be not. Have you tried adjusting your clutch? What have you been using for eo or in the fuel tank?
