The whole assembly I understand is the electrical solenoid. The part connector you talk about is the main fuse (green 30A fuse) housing. Yes, it does get charred or 'burned' but very rare. These are caused by very high current. In your case, it could be electrical loading from extra dvices fixed on your bike like HID etc..and been running close to 30A in total load for quite awhile.

I think there is no spare part for that...either you refabricated or get a second part ofr it as its is a part assembly of the main whole wire hardness. Not cheap to do as I have done it before..but if you need further assistance..let me know.

man, you're a genius...hehehe - am using HID....

anyways, woudl it help if i place a kill switch for my headlamps during daytime and just turn ON during night?

thanks as always....

Yes. Most ppl fit a bypass headlamp switch is basically prevent any possible transient current surge when starting the bike as the H4 is already draining lots of current from the battery..yes, the battery get 'hurts'. Having a HID without the manual cut off is even worst ut the wire goes first after a long while. If there is ever electrical fire and your bike gets burn, this is the cause.

I have mine done for the purpose of starting the bike with the headlamp off..but I also ride without day headlite on...wah..ha...x3! See white head then only on...heee...x2!

If you DIY urself..careful with the type of current rating wire to be used. Use hi-current silver ones...and not those nice fancy small switch for home hi-fi ones and oso try to waterproof the switch.

HI S4 Bro,

Currently and first time try to measure the battery from a version and find the following.

Battery - 12.6v

ignition on - 12.4v

start engine - got a dip to 11.6v then back to 12.5v once started

idling about 1k RPM - 12.5v

rev slightly about 2-2.5k RPM - hit about 14.4v

rev more like 3 k to 5 k RPM - reading drop as increase RPM to about 13.1v constant.

is it normal for it to drop at higher RPM or it should maintain the highest peak as more power given (higher REV) like 14.4v?? All test done is with headlight on. Any adnormal in any statement do feedback.

Anyone got any experience can guide me and advice on this?

Many thanks to all.

Heh...how come you never go back to Ah Fook and check with him? Hope your approach and meter is correct though.

ya to the brim

If I'm not wrong. The 18L capacity of the tank is not counted till the very brim.

I think its a little lower then that. If you filled it till the brim it could exceed 18L.

In this case..tell him not to do anything if there is a finding till you know what is to be done and the cost. CDI?...did he say that as one of the suspected problem? I ahve a spare and we can try out. Anyway..what I meant here is not to commit anything.."blindy".

You may want to go around some well know mototiam for before agreeing with any of the mechanic. It could just be simply airway clog to a cracked carb's rubber intake coupling. Free come around again..I'll see for you but go to the rest first. Your 'problem' is not that bad.
