ah pek that time i clean my front chain and sprocket than i found a semi circle rubber drop off . do you know what that thing for ? i dont know where to put so i never fix back .

If its the front gear cover you took out, it should be a metal piece not rubber...so rubber or metal..got 3 holes right?:sian:

ah pek, if the ride is not too cushy and bouncy, just that i find the ride very very stiff and it doesn't absorb the small little bumps and potholes OTR. but under hard braking, it does absorb the motion though.

the fork should perform somewhat in the middle? like absorb the humps and potholes now and it isn't too soft at the same time?

is it also time to change the fork oil?

please give your guidance :thumb:

If this is the case, likely the fork oil inside is 'harden' by metal filings and has some what become 'creamy' that they do noy passed thru the plunger holes when "dampering" takes place. Have the fork lower housing service and refilled with clean new oil. Just my reasoning.

As to how long it takes..very subjective lah. It all comes to how the bike is riden, used and every day traffic changes. Just note that heat robs power and breaks the oil viscoity fast. Libe wise, its very well taken care of..and oso no too bikes are the same..even rider weight. Just don't wack lah..but ride fast if you want to and when the opportunity to do so is right.

hmm ok more or less suit my riding style la (i always try my best not to wack too much) but always good to know and feel confident tat my bike can perform in "times of need"

Problem has been solved, I think... didn't notice that the screws holding the cover were different length. :dot: Rode few rounds around carpark, feels OK.

Anyway, when I start the bike in the morning (cold start) there is some clack clack clack sound, but goes away when warmed up. I suppose it's normal that way?

My bike is stock! Please don't jio me!

Remember to add urself the X-1R after two full tank..give and take 600km. As for Nano coating taking effect...should be about 5-10km or so and varies among bikes. Can tell by feeling that ur throttle gets a bit kind of 'tighter' as you rev up the rpm scale.

There is no rubber ring like you described but if it is...then I should think that it must be a worn out piece from your front sprocket shaft spacer mount. These days..all front sprocket has a rubber spacer build on their body. Its ok without it.

Yeap...quite usually 'normal' as long as the sound goes off.

I think the tick tick tick sound when you start your bike when the engine is cold, is the sound of the E.O being pumped around the engine. After the engine is warm enough the sound should go away.

Correct me if i'm wrong ppl.

aye ask u guys arh...

changing to AFAM sprockets must use another type of chain right? So whats the benefit of chging to afam sprockets[the whole set ie. chain, front sprocet and rear.]? and how much does it cost?

and hor... spray the whole bike in a single tone + spray rims to gold.. any idea where to get a good deal plus good workmanship? {not forgetting reasonable price!}

There is no replacement for displacement, except for Ah Seng

"replacing the themostat n coolent switch n servicing radiator fan n service coolant. "....:sian:

Why wereyou doing all that? Did the coolant boil in your reserve tank, did your coolant level dry up..did your fan cut on..etc. It's just the temp light lighting up giving up false alarm. I should think that its only the circuit board in the housing is faulty. I have a spare if you wanna give it a try..pm me.

Hmm how difficult is it to remove the circuit board from the meter housing? Need to replace the right hand side button on mine, cannot set clock very gao wei.

Not sure how to define by "difficult"..just unscrew all bolts, screws etc...that holds them together and remove other parts like headlamp if its blocking the way to access those bolts and screws.

Oh, sorry...in this case no need lah...tot u got Nano. Just keep the remaining 2 ozs. You need 4 ozs the next time when u wanna use Nano..can always get additional 2 ozs..need not get the whole bottle again. Anyway..since you been riding normally as ur usual self, was there any increase in FC for you just using X-1R beside performance improvement?
