hey ah pek, just wanna thank you for coming to my 'rescue' when my bike had the overheating problem despite you being in this condition! haha. anyway my problem seems to be solved for now. hopefully it stays permanent. :D

don't know if its your radiator that i'm using or is it your special coolant. bike temp is so much better now, far from overheating. will continue to try with the radiator for another week or so. if all works well then i'll drop by to pass you the money for the radiator. possibly a eo change too, heh.

oh ya, whats this valve cleaner that everyone is talking about? am interested :p

take care and recover soon!

In your case, its usually caused by irregular or uneveness of front tyre wear and tear due to improper tyre pressure..check see if your tyre centre has 'ripples' or uneven depression just next to it.

Cone and wheel bearings can be the caused too but not that intense. To test cone bearing (in case you drop bike before)..move forward in first gear a bit and brake hard. If you hear knoocking noise..it's damage then. Another method is to have the front wheel up and swing the handle left and right...it should feel very stiff and stop half way thru.

As for fron't wheel bearing, the best method is to level up the front wheel and spin it hard and use the palm of your hand on the lower fork tibe to feel for "metal grinding" vibration. If there is, the bearing need to be replaced soon.:sian:

Also check for screw tightness on the upper and lower fork clamp..two on top and two below. Loosesness of any of these can caused the same sympton.

how stiff should it feel?

and if cone bearing is damage, how much does it cost to replace it?

Regards,

kifakw

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Hi Ah Pek....hope you are recovering well. Just wanna ask, wats the Green Oil dat Kano is talking about. Is it some good stuff? Anyway i tink i need to get some of your Valve Cleaner. Also your X1R is good to my engine but when do you tink i should top it up again? Take care Ah Pek and get well soon.....Cheers :cheeky::cheeky:

The Greenoil is sold almost everywhere especially in large cars accessories automart like "AutoBac"..etc. Can get at Carefour or Giants oso but they sell at $30 a box of 5 bottles. One bottle can be used for our S4 3 full tank. Its actually is a 'veg' oil or palm oil and what it does is reformulates your fuel to be easily combust and with less carbon. Look at the packing and see the 3 research lab that gurantee it for smooth and better fc performance. Have to use a few bottles before really good result..but some ool get immediate result. Well..shall say depends on the status of your bike condition lah. Stop using only when your bike is smooth enough and doing good. I sometimes buy in bulks so that you guys can get it from me for only $22 for a box of 5. I don't always have so check with me first as I'm not into business in this.

This is best use after valves cleaner. Use valves cleaner only when your valves are clogged with combusted dried carbon...interval usage wise, may be a few months once. Once you felt the difference in bike performance for the better, just use GreenOil to maintain. Thye work well hand in hand.:sian:

Its both the radiator and coolant. The coolant will keep rust from formulating too and lubes your coolant pump impeller rotor shaft. I understand you do not have a thermostat in it now but if you decide to put one..it be even better. Yes, the main issue to ur problem was your radiator gone bad...no coolant was flowing thru dur to bad rusting conditions in the tubes such that they block the flow. Once these coolants get trapped, they stay where they are till boiling points evaporated them all.

GreenOil..read what I just posted to Greenruby79.

You can never feel it. Have to have the front wheel level up and swing the handle bar. If it reluctantly swinging fully from one end to the other or you see some jerking stiffness..that's tell tale sign. The other best way on 2 wheels is to move forward, put ur weight on the handle bar and brake oon hard..you should be able to see handle bar movement and comes with a "kocking" sound.

Usually about $90 but +/- $10-15. Try not to compare among mototiam prices..some spend money to stock items and looses in interest..some have to purposely go down just to get the parts for that day, some have higher rental then others. What is more important or a different of $10 or slightly more is a quality good job done (u have to see and be the judge) and a good backup free service should what they do does not works right the job after.:sian:

Ya, mechanics like us to change everything.

Change when the chain has been stretched too much; when it cannot be tightened anymore.

btw, i lube my chain weekly. Eversince I changed it in December, never went for tightening before. Take care of it, and it will serve you long and well.

Can say much unless I can look at it. Normally shaking the links from the sprocket behind left and right for excessive movment. The other thing is to see how much it swing side to side at the slack area and if the links center is very shinny. Free drop by Saturday morning..be doing grounding.

ah pek you know where to buy rear suspension screw ? original and non original one . thanks

In fact any bolt type will do as long as the length and diameter fits. Get the stainless steel type. Try Peh Huat along the shop in front of LAB there that sell screws..have to show them a sample though.

If want original..may be have to go Chiong Aik, FJT or Ever Success..otherwise Boon Siew liao.:sian:
