went to Seng Kwang n check how much to fabricate a IU holder on the handle bar near the mirror but it costs $70. According to him, those cheap 1 r not stable n can cause the IU to vibrate too much until spoil. Is it true? Where can i get alternative supplier?

Those mototiam that has more branches usually take stock more and prices varies from $220-$230 for Dunlope Arrow Max GT105. It's the stock tyres for all our non Vtec version and perform well and last longer than those low profile soft compound ones. Yes plse..stick to F 110/60 and B 140/60..has been tested tin Japan R&D and the best for our model.

in general, I've haven't heard of any s4 versions/models having a coolant leaking issue.

Who told you ver S has such a problem? What did the person say, specifically?

Was looking at the above site for arrowmax (GT501) & the new arrowmax Street Smart. In both cases, they don't seem to carry the size 140/70-17 anymore.

Or is there a separate allocation for SG/Asia. Oh tot oem should be 110/70 & 140/70. 220-230 for a set sounds very worth it. Does it perform ok in the wet? I recalled my BT45 in the past wasn't that fantastic when dry & cmi in the wet. Only when the tyres were warmed till semi soft at NSH did they grip well ...at least on dry roads.

I think got someone mentioned before n ah pek recommended some good product to seal off the leaking. I think leaking is usually near the block

Arrowmax stock 110&140 definitely have. I went planet last Friday as there was some grinding sound around the rear wheel. And I was also using bt45 rear. I feel the center flat out and botak soon and current setup 100&150 not really ideal. so I ask about arrowmax as recommended by ah pek. ah chong say don't have must order. So I ask if I could get them on same day cause if can might as well change since my wheel will be dismounted. He say can. So I think definitely got stock.

 

But in the end never change cause ah chong recommends me another set prielli sport demon. As he already has a pair 110&140 sitting at his desk and I don't have to wait and can change right away. Not bad this set of tires, good grip. Corner got more confident. But maybe also placebo effect as new tires lol.

If its semi soft defn better grip than Arrowmax. Frankly my impression is that arrowmax & BT45 are similar, hard compound. No doubt grippy when hot but in SG, cant achieve speeds to warm it sufficiently & neither does S4 have enough torque to mesh/heat up the tyres over short distances. BT 090 super grippy but by 10k, pretty much botak liao. Now they claim Arrowmax "street smart" is improved, got silica etc, but unsure how much grippier it is compared to the standard arrow max. How much was the set of sport demon? Last time my Ver S used Metzler ME1. Had a good balance between grip & mileage.

Check with you guys. When my bike is cold and I let it idel there is this tick tick sound coming from the right side of the engine. Once the engine is Hot. The tick tick sound cant be heard anymore. Any idea what's wrong with my VerS?

Ticking I heard is normal as the the eng oil spreads across the 4 cycl / chambers. (accd to my shop) I had that too when I bought Ver S in DEC 2002. The bike was a 98 model with 68K mileage. In fact my car also ticks for the 1st 5 mins. Hence, warm up is so so important. make sure the oil spreads out & "marinate" the engine parts thoroughly.

 

Glad to hear Sport Demon is at good as the ad says. Value for money. BridgeStone is priced so high.....could be their extensive sponsor of F1/MotoGP cost that is passed on to consumers.

Means nothing serious to my bike yeah? Got me so worried. What are the early syndrome to know that CDI gonna breakdown? One of the workshop say my cdi will spoilt anytime. Lol.

That CDI part I not sure man. But on my old LC125 which CDI kaput, I kick started 1 morning till the bike back fired. !! Erratic throttle resp could be another since CDI coordinates everything. But again that could also be cozed by dirty carbs. Not sure how to isolate. But since Ver S by now is easily 14yrs old....cant really blame the bike should it really happen. If the ticking goes off after 5 mins my take is that it should be ok. Btw, since urs is Ver S/PB1, best keep ur end can to stock. Don't even partially tong the stock can. U end up with noticeable loss of torque/power & increased vibes up to 5-6k rpm.

yes if u don't mod. If u wan improvement across entire range rpm = KNN filter + end can/fullsystem + dyno jet to fill up the gaps. But the $$$. Hence no point.

Coz unlike spec 1 - revo, don have the vtec to enhance back pressure for low/mid rpm.
