ts, next time just overtake, no need to bother to give hand signal to other pple. pple will sure mistaken ur intentions... if i were the rider, i will sure mistaken ur intentions too... anyway... in my years of riding, i nvr notice anyone giving hand signal except the TP.... even car drivers do hog.... so wats the big deal here?

 

its more important for u, urself to practice signalling ur intention left or right before proceeding.... if u practice it gd for u.... if u didnt, its better for u to open a thread at car forum and educate them to signal their intentions rather than u come here n complain wat all the drivers or riders have done.

 

if u tink ur intention to post in bikes forum cos u care n concern about us bikers, i rather u do us a favour n post at car forum instead of here to look out for us, and practice gd driving habits etc

 

we bikers here have lots of experience with drivers who r not responsible on the road already... to compare wat u experience its nothing...

as long as another car or bike faster than u, u have to give way or u are hogging...

by right after overtaking u should just shift back to learn 2.

lane 1 is not for cruising mind you.

The main impetus for me to post this incident is not on the road hogging, but rather on the actions of the rider. Like I said, if there is a valid to why he is going that slow on the right lane (eg: bike problems), I would have picked that up. Like many others here, I drive and ride.

 

However, if the reason why he is road hogging is because he is having a nice chat with the chick behind him, and is prone to displaying aggressive actions, posting here as a warning to others is an action that I would say is not wrong.

If the cow does not ever fall on another person again, then yes, you are right to say it is worth it. What I'm trying to prevent now is for the cow to repeat the same action again, and cause danger to itself, and to others.

With all due respect TS, i learn my lesson the hard way. One word for you..... overtake and just move on. Dun need to kaypoh to signal him to speed up. You end up get nothing but a finger and anger rite. So wats the bother to ask him speed up? He slow he get into danger thats his prob and he will learn it the hard way sooner or later. No need to be kind hearted to gesture him to speed up.

 

If you die die want lane 1 then stay behind him and follow. He will eventually change lane and wont show you any finger trust me. If not then over take him and change back to lane 1 if clear.

As for this, its never ending. Got such biker sure got such drivers also. Bikers like to take photos of car anyhow park, driver do so too.

 

As for me, yes i agree with you. I biker i also cannot tahan. really hate those inconsiderate riders. i.e loud exhaust in the midnights. Parking that obstruct ppl walking. Zip zak into your lane and end up still see him at traffic light. I really dun understand wat these ppl are thinking.

Ya but the highway code is subjective. if you know your theory well enough you should know going above speed limit is already wrong and might even get you and your bike arrested.

 

so since he was going at 90-100 he is already almost at the peak to getting a fine and maybe even brought back to base.

 

so in any case the car doesn't have the right to ask him to speed more when he can overtake him easily.

 

think of it this way,

 

Bike going at 90-100,

Car going at same speed but wanting to go more but refuses to overtake,

Does he have the right to horn the bike to make him go faster?

so what if the bike DID go faster? and got chase down by uncle sam? who's fault would it be? would the car pay responsible? would the biker have to pay for what the driver made him do? or better still, should uncle sam even care less about both driver and rider?

Its your own fault. The throttle/ pedal is controlled by you. No one ask you to speed and get caught. If you get caught, blame it on yourself. If you dun want to go fast then FARG off from first lane.

My house downstairs the junction, I see before a group of L plates on sparks, stop at red light junction and started taunting a small lorry driver.

 

They all horned and rev like crazy, then I think the lorry driver started shouting at them then one of the guys got off the bike and take out helmet, like wanna whack the lorry driver, then suddenly the guy run away back onto the back and they all sped off, beat red light. ( I think the lorry driver took out some parang or something. Hahaha.. )

I was driving along Queensway today heading towards Queensway Shopping Centre. At the extreme right lane, was a Super 4 Version S (FQ 657 U)travelling at a speed of 40km/h. I overtook him from the left, and indicated to him to speed up.

 

Somehow, he got irritated by my actions(which is understandable), and he sped up, and overtook me. I took it within my stride and did not speed up or slow down. However, he started slowing down, and as i changed lane to the left, he turned around and gave me the finger!

 

The rider had shown signs of being highly possible of involving in road rage cases. If the rider is looking at this, heed 2 advice of mine here:

 

1. Pls do not start your lovey-dovey talks with your girlfriend on the extreme right lane of a road. I'm sure that you can save all the sweet nothings back into your bedroom. It is more important to be looking what is in front of you, and what is behind you when you are riding.

 

2. Turning behind and showing me the middle finger with your eyes staring at me might boost your ego a bit. But if a vehicle in front of you jammed brakes to avoid an accident in front of him, not only your ego will be bruised, you and your gf are likely to be bruised badly as well.

 

I guess you are not TP or police else you would have arrested him instead to posting here...

 

In my many years of riding and driving, my way to deal with road hogs ---- just overtake and move on.

 

Why the hell would you want to ask ppl to speed up or slow down or whatever?
