Hi all.. just bought 2011 Gen 2 haya.. may i ask u seniors n experienced riders, what should i look for n check?

2ndly,i took the bike out wif half tank n after riding it for 10km,it drops to 1/4.. is this normal? As in is the fuel consumption normally this much?

Kindly appreciate any tips n tricks frm u guys.. thx..

Hi Ami86,

Yes, Fuel consumption on the Busa is a bit on the higher side and its normal, specially if you transitioning from a bike that you previously owned had better mileage.

In the beginning your riding style also matters, eventually you will start to ride the bike more gently and you will notice the efficiency too will increase. This happened with me too when I upgraded from a 400cc to a 1300cc.

Some basic checks:

If you know the previous owner check with him when is the next service due, if you don't know him then just change the engine oil and filters, that way you sure when you supposed to service next

Look for worn out break pads front/back (a mec should help you sort this out)

Listen for any unusual engine noises, suspension creaking or rattling and any undue vibrations and get this checked.

Check and regularly topup Tyre air pressure, Front/Rear, this one trick really helps

Enjoy your new ride and be safe

Hi bros,

I'm considering of getting hayabusa. Gen 1 or gen 2? Is it worth to get second hand in term of maintenance as second hand bike would have more repair and maintenance need to be done? Is there any particular part that commonly break down?

Any other concern that experience expert here can advice?

Thanks!
