It aint a serious mechanical problem but to think that u look at the dash most of the time and theres something wrong, one really feels uncomfortable.

My "Current" 03 limited edition one, (ooops..... heheheheh) also peel off, but i never go bother.

 

I believe the glue can no longer hold, because of the heat here. Maybe u can try go glue it back, go back to the shop you bought from and seek their help, but you will have to remove the whole front fairing to access that sponge, good luck :)
