Actually Paul was telling Timothy to go back to the BASICS. Also that is why Jesus send the Holy Spirit to guide us. The Bible is indeed for us and us only, it is for the Holy Spirit to teach us the multi facade of the beauty of Jesus and how the plan is like. Not for us to use it against others nor for us to teach another.

this is your suggestion, we just go along with it mah. Being a pastor doesnt mean you have to hold an office in the church or preach in the pulpit. Pastor simply means Shepherd. You live and allow your life be the manifestation of the Gospel. The Holy Spirit will teach the rest.

i do agree with Ninjalite to compare notes and share our opinions; so that we can have a better understanding of His Word

S A Tan was rich before the CROSS because Adam committed the high treason. When God made Adam he gave him dominion (ruler-ship) over everything on the earth under God. This means Adam was king of the earth in God's name. (Gen 1:28)

Then Adam fell, he transferred ruler-ship and dominion of all the earth and everything in it was transferred to the Devil - God's enemy.

AFTER the CROSS, Jesus gets back the dominion that Adam lost.

Devil used to have access to the heaven where God is, in the book of Job.

Now (after the CROSS), the Devil was already cast out from that heaven (Rev 12:7~10) and the poor Devil knows that his time is numbered

The poor devil is now also defanged (because Christ has won back the dominion at the CROSS) and he can only "roar".

Why the devil can only "roar" ?

Well, he has no more weapon (teeth) to bite us mah

1 Pet 5:8 Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant {and} cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon {and} devour.

What is the devil's roar ?

i submit that the devil's roar is the Law.

the Law is perfect, but it has not power to save you.

Rom 7:8 But sin, finding opportunity in the commandment [to express itself], got a hold on me {and} aroused {and} stimulated all kinds of forbidden desires (lust, covetousness). For without the Law sin is dead [the sense of it is inactive and a lifeless thing].

So dun give "dentures" to the "bo-gay lion" hor

Now let's go to Genesis and read about Noah's flood, so let's see why God sent the flood in the first place.

Genesis 6:1-8

V1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

V2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

The word 'men' in verse one refers to Adam and 'them' refers to Adam and Eve. The sons of God are angels that were with God in heaven. They left heaven and came to earth.

Jude 1:6

V6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

These fallen angels took daughters of the seed line of Adam for wives. This was an attempt by Satan to pollute the seed line that Christ would be born from. The great day is the Lord's day.

V3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

The word spirit is ruach and it is used here to mean the psychological part of Adam as well as all mankind. That spirit will not always remain is us to act as a judge, for it returns to God at our death. Adam in the flesh had corrupted his way and God is saying that he will die in 120 years.

V4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

The primitive root for the word giants in Hebrew is naphal and means to fall. These nephilim or fallen ones are the offspring of the fallen angels and the daughters of Adam and Eve. This started happening before Noah's time and went right up to the flood. The phrase 'and also after that' tells us that Satan tried this again at a later time after the flood. The second time they were smaller in number and covered a smaller area. Mighty is the Hebrew word gibbor (ghib-bore') and means powerful; by implication, warrior, tyrant. I believe that some of these went on to be the heroes of Greek mythology. The fallen angels knew things that no one else on earth did. They were being lead by Satan and he is very wise but misleading.

V5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

The word man is now used of the descendants of Adam. With these nephilim walking around that are the offspring of Satan's buddies and the daughters of Adam and Eve, a lot of sinning was going on. These people were pure evil and God had to put a stop to it because it was interfering with His plan. Christ was to be born of the seed line of Adam and God could not have the nephilim part of that seed line.

V6 And it repented the LORD that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at his heart.

Things are not going well here. There was already the problem in the garden of Eden and now this. God was sorry and it angered Him that He put man on the earth in the flesh. All man was doing was evil and God does not like that.

V7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

God had to stop the nephilim and He did that with the flood.

so the assumption to destroy all nephlim is not true....

but assuption that he make a fuss over rightousness is not suceesful....

and at the end still had to sent the super cross breed to save the world....

so the assuption of gene is still an assumtion...

Anyway, the shape of Noah's ark is debatable

Let us discuss why God has to send THE flood ... anyone

I always think it's box-shaped 'cos the ark was meant to protect. The boat shaped ark was probably some leftover prop from 2012 movie

Anyway, the ark that God instructed Noah to build, it wasn't going specifically anywhere. Not America, not to China and definitely not to A&W Ayer Keroh.

So this thread is about abuse of grace and/or dispensation? I haven't come across the term dispensation. 1st time I've heard about it.

so noah is not so pure lor ...his gene was pass on.....

but assuption that he make a fuss over rightousness is not suceesful....

There is a vast difference in unclean animals and being a pure human being lah.

Unclean animals are listed in Lev 11 and mentioned so that Israel do not eat them.

Hence, you will not find Jews eating pork even today

Welcome to this thread

Understanding dispensation is vital to me as my ex "law-man church" builds their doctrine on non-Paulâ€™s letters.

Example of scripture abuse from Acts 2:38~39

In order to be a â€œtrue christianâ€ in my ex "law-man church", their â€œmember to beâ€ has to

1) repent, which to confess every sin they have even committed from birth; then make restitution, show tears that they are truly sorry for their sins.

2) be water baptised in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

3) Then after becoming a â€œtrue christianâ€ in their context, have to maintain â€œsalvationâ€ by good works and daily confession of sins to a mentor that will be assigned to that guy.

Their members are not even sure of their Salvation if they are to die then as they have to maintain â€œsalvationâ€ hor

For me : Knowing HIS TRUTH sets me free
