HI,

Ive let it run for 15min and the "spraying" decreasing. It should b ok by now. Anyway, how can the petrol overflow at carb when i turn off the fuel carb? I have twice forgot to turn off the fuel cork for 10 mins or so and when i try to start it, i couldn't. I had to kick start till alot of times and then it could start. Is it normal for KR? I have never experince this when i ride RXZ.

Thanks

thanks.. ;)

anyway, now you have start the bike, is it still "spraying" petrol?

there's several reasons for this.

- water went in exhaust

- petrol overflow at carb

- etc(s)

*but dun worry cuz mostly after one ride it will become normal.. :)

sorry for the late reply as weekend I dun come online one.. :p

Anyway, just to check further about the "spraying".. Have you verify that it's petrol instead of 2T? If it's Petrol, try to "tune up" your air intake and see if it helps..

If it's 2T, lower your 2T settings.

All of these, do get someone who knows what they are doing to check and do for you.. :)

Continued.

petrol overflow when you turn off carb

- switch spoilt.

forget to turn off, carb inside there's seals..

-the seal might have give way thus leaking.

-will recommended to on choke for easier starting.. :)

lastly, check your carb or wash it for better insurance.. :)

Hi guys can I ask you all a question? I don't know if it's just my KR or all KRs cause I've never ridden another KR before. When I just got my KR, it was in a quite lousy condition, apparently my valves jammed and I didn't realise it because I was still a new rider, so after awhile, I went to service my valves and I had to do a top overhaul. So now, when I'm at about 5k rpm at any gear, there will be this very low & weird sound (like clock-clock-clock) and my rpm won't go to 6 onwards unless I downshift (more obvious at higher gears). I asked my mechanic about this and he said it's because it's a two-stroke, but that day, I rode my friend's SP and I realised that he didn't have this problem at all. So is it only me or does all KRs have this? It's like the power delivery is not smooth or something. At gear 1, it is not that obvious, but you can feel the "hesitation" of the power still at 5k rpm, then at gear 2 onwards it's damn obvious, so I must always drag gear 1 till like 8k rpm so that when I up gear, I won't encounter this problem. Anyone knows what is happening? It's been going on for like 4 months already, at first I was quite okay with it, but now it's kind of getting on my nerves.

as you mentioned.. valve jam.. just get the valve serviced and you will be alright.. the price is estimated S$35.. MY I think around MY$50.

as you mentioned, you went to do a top overhaul.. go back to the bike shop, ask why your valve is even worse.. that should never happen.. unless they broke something or etc..

pm me for any recommendation place.. :)

Hello, newbie here.. wanna ask if is it normal for KR's gear 1 and 2 to sound "heavy" when changing up/down into either gears?

Hi, KR gear 1 and 2 "sounded" heavy because your speed are still quite slow..

Once you hit gear 3, the sound is the same but wind has "blow" off the sound.. :)

So, it's normal.. :)

I still dont understand about the valve thing.. Coz everytime i whack till 170 like that my valve stuck., what to do to make it feels right for temporary?? Before goin to service valve

There's a temp way to resolve the valve issue.. you need to pour in some lub and wack till RPM 11 on the spot and "push" it back to unstuck position, continue until it doesn't get struck.. (very hard to explain, would prefer to meet up and chat about it if you are keen)

The most easiest way.. Overhaul your valve instead of service.. cost slightly more expensive = S$55-$100 because need to replace internal seals and etc..

The reason for $100 = depends on bike shop... :)

Check yr 2t pump, likely its not functioning to its potential.

Ride safe.Leave the race to the racers.

Can somebody pls advise if this is normal?

(This is the left side of the engine, somewhere under the carb)

I changed water pump oil seal, and I still have water seeping into the engine, making my EO cloudy..

looks ok as your chain is there.. thus it will flick the water/chain lube towards that direction.

EO cloudy would need more pictures and information.. :)

Pictures might be able to post later.

Actually the EO has already been flushed clean (saw it with my eyes) and I went to wash my bike..

After washing, it became cloudy again..

The way I washed is take a scoop of water and fling at the bike

the main question.. how you wash your bike? :p

If it's a full water hose onto your bike, where and how you spray? *slowly* spray can? den see which part "seep" in if possible.. :)

After washing the bike, the EO still looks okay...

Cause after wash I put back bike @ carpark (multistorey)

Next day I rode out, and after parking, then I noticed the EO cloudy.. the level inside the EO didn't increase though..

sigh.. this problem has been bugging me for awhile now.

I've just changed it.. it was slightly cloudy, but not very milky.. :/

And one more thing bro, when my bike goes above 110km/h , there's this funny "I think is Rotating sound" sound coming from the bike.. can't tell whether its coming from the engine or the front wheel...

It's quite high pitched..

Appreciate all your advice adesmond2 bro.. :cheeky:

cloudy but not milky? Bro.. Picture say a thousand words.. can snap 2 picture for me? :)

1 - Your Engine oil window

2 - Your Engine oil itself when you drain out.

above 110km/h.

1st thing to test, open visor, use your finger to push your helmet to one side, opening more space so that you can hear everything, den can you hear that sound?

Use this method to test at all speed, 20/40/60/80/100/110.

If all speed have, check out at Bike shop if it's piston ring OR chain OR wheel bearing (urgent).

Wheel bearing is the most risky..

If certain speed can, certain speed cannot, check for wear and tear..

if all sounded normal, den ok..

Why need to push one side?

*helmet also wear and tear, got holes den too fast and sound get louder and louder.. :)

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...

Turns out to be oil seal problem, again... :cheeky:

As for the rotating sound.. above 100km/h then have..

Could it be cause I sprayed lube into the rim bearing??

I just overhauled not long ago..

Piston ring was vibrating, and conrod giving way too...
