Help on Screws & Missing item.

Hey guys. Well basically some 'genius' decided to kop my road-tax and HDB season parking disc holders. The thing is, I had mounted it on the side fairing (just above the right foot brake there) and whoever that took it, didn't bother to insert back the screw there. Now, i realise that the side fairing is kind of flapping when I am riding. I urgently need to get a replacement screw for it. A close biker friend of mine recommended a shop near Ubi there, but the thing is I live in the North and study in the West, so was hoping that I could locate a shop much nearer to these two places instead (Don't wanna travel all the way to Ubi for just one screw...) Any bros out there know of any screw shops in the North or West?

 

Oh and another thing, now that I have my Road Tax and HDB season parking labels missing, issit possible to get a replacement for both of them? How do I go about getting the replacement? Will I incur any charges? Thanks!

you need to pay for replacement for your season parking. i think its $5.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

nowadays de theif.. jia lat.. road tax and season park "holders" how much nia.. I got it free from AH Boy when I buy 1 helmet from him.. haixx...

 

Anyway, bro, next time your road tax put under the seat, season parking put on wind screen like car.. :)

wat kind of screw the bike using??

if not those quick release type, u can juz get from hardware shop..

i assume u study at NTU, u can go to pioneer road north. block 13.

There is this one shop near ah boy that sells alot of screws. The spare parts uncle told me its called "Screw King". I believed him after asking him a few more times. After searching a while, i couldn't find it.

 

Then i saw one dude on a Superfour and another guy on a vespa and asked them. They gave me a "confused" face when i said "Screw King" But pointed me in the right direction when i said "shop that sells alot of screws". The shop is near ah boy but facing a block of flats.

 

I need to go there again tomorrow. Horrible china made screws on my bike keep wearing out.

they probably thought you refering to porno. screw king= king of screwing.

 

anyway, hardware shops will have what you need. auntie shop, LAB is also a favourite haunt of many.

February 2011 - March 2012 = Phantom TA 200

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Present = BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk)

after jln besak on the left u will see a shop named regina, turn left in then turn right

Auntie has lotsa colourful screws. But expensive. If u need to temporarily stop the flapping of the fairing, i think u can borrow screws from other parts of ur bikes, for example, ur bubble. Got lotsa screws they can do without.

 

You can go to TOMMY if u're looking for a shop in the north. It's at the industrial estate near Yishun Vicom.

Hey guys. Once again thanks for all the info. I settled all my issues:

- Went down to shop to pay for bike installment, then mechanic helped replaced the screw (non-stock, but compatible size), anyway it was only 1 screw, so ya FOC, haha.

- Went to HDB to replace my season parking disc. Damage = $5

- By chance had to renew road tax, so LTA mailed me new road tax disc.

- Bought 2 disc holders from Ah Boy. Damage = $1

 

When I have the time, I will slowly check out all the shops recommended, so in the future can know exactly where to get what when sh*t like that happens. LOL. Thanks once again!
