Hi all...

Just bought rsv4 brand new from mah motors. Its merely a month now and my mileage is only at around 600km but the engine oil level seems to drop way below the minimum level. Is this normal?

If some one could tell me how much reflashing the ecu with the race ecu that would help. Right now it says service so have to brig it in for diagnostic so thought 1 shot reflash the ecu to race ecu . Would appreciate if anyone can tell me if my thinking is right .

Some places charge right in the region of $300 - 450 to get the front forks serviced. Price varies according to the items replaced (if necessary) rear shock should set you back $250-300. Steering damper would be cheaper. If you're looking to get a used one, do a thorough check on the condition of the fork and shock. The rear shock is very susceptible to wear as it is located near the rear manifold. Akra, LeoVince and Arrow will be your choice of legal exhaust, the older models (pre 2013) may have giannelli exhausts as a legal option but not after.

The standard ECU and the Race ECU are two different ECUs if you're looking to flash a race map on the stock ECU then it's probably going to cost you some money but it would have to be done through the AD (they might be reluctant or unwilling to do that). I would suggest you look for a race ECU as it is saleable after you're done with your ride.

Hello! I'm new to the forum. I recently got a RSV4 R APRC. Saw some of the questions above and thought I could help. You can reset the "spanner" at Sporting Motors, and Race Werks. According to the manual, service intervals are 1K (run-in) 10K thereafter. If you ride hard at track then it's 5K. The guys at Racewerks recommended 5K.
