Hi guys, looking to sell my Honda Phantom TA 150. Its been with me for awhile now and will continue to survive til Jan 2020 when its COE expires, maybe even beyond if you renew. Had many memorable trips with it. I bought it initially for the feel of a cruiser and the reliability and serviceability of a Honda. It has not disappointed me in these aspects as the only thing I've had to replace so far were the tyres and that was in preparation of a long way up, to KL.

 

Ah yes speaking of touring, it honestly surprised me by making the 750km round trip from SG-KL with no problems at all. That was the furthest its been. You sometimes hear that some Phantoms do make it up even to Thailand but they come back needing overhauls. Im glad this one didnt, even if it was only to KL. I managed to achieve a constant 120km/h with a pillion, 2 backpacks and fully loaded box with the bike churning out smooth revs and sounding quite quiet actually. So yup, rest assured that this is not gonna be a lemon or a old, clunky machine.

 

Personally, i have not tried its top speed as i dont see the need to. Being a cruiser, you should prolly look for comfort rather than speed. But anyway, it has a detuned Honda SP engine so the speed possibility is there. Its been regularly serviced at Planet by Ah Chong and he knows it well. I've done some servicing myself as well, changing the gear/engine oil, flushing coolant, chain maintenance etc so ya ask me anything about it and i'll tell ya.

 

To be honest im sad to let it go, as its been quite a ride and totally proved its reliability. But all good things have to come to an end right? Ok yes down to the details. Rest assured that you're paying for a worry-free daily transport thats ready to tour anytime. Considering the current COE prices, this bike is a steal! It has never died on me and i believe it will not die on you! Photos will be up in the next post!

Bro you too Renew your COE for 5 Years only ? If so the Bike need to scrap Cannot Renew Coe anymore .... What a waste ..... Another Phantom to be thrown away ....

 

I did that too .. i didn't think anyone still interested in phantom .. seeing less on the roads now .. and i feel only bajaj is the equivalent ..

mine lagi wasted cos low mileage .. COE ends 3/3/13 but i still

but COE really ex now .. plus am out of job now so renew 5 years only .. after that I dunno how also .. seldom ride now too ..

The bike is still available for sale !!

 

Due to personal considerations, I decided to stop riding all together and thus have to sell away the bike, which is still in good condition, except for some small corrosions on the fuel tank. (see attached pic)

 

As you can see, I had done a lot of replacements to the bike and spent more than $1k on them. I even extended the COE till 2017 for $900+. So it will be a waste to scrap or sell to bike shop and I rather sell the bike to an individual.

 

For your info, LTA requires the new owner to have the insurance and road tax ready before the transfer can be done (if I am not wrong). So you have to comply with this too. I can refer you to my bike shop to get the papers done if you wish.

 

Anyway, for those keen parties, please do drop me a sms/whatsapp at 90024775 as I seldom log in here. (due to work and studies commitments). Price can be negotiated I am targeting to sell it away by end of March 2013 as the road tax and insurance is due on 7 April 2013. The transfer, new insurance and road tax procedures need time too, i think.

I have decided to reduce the price to $1600 (nego) as I understand some may feel unworthy to pay for a bike with minor defects at the fuel tank.

 

I believe the $300 reduction is justifiable to cover for a respray of the tank (maybe even sufficient to spray the fenders too or the whole bike?)
