Agent is the authroise dealer recognised by Yammy. Parallel means other bike shops in SG sourcing for the bike on their own, based on their connections. But for "rare bikes" like XJ6, may be a good idea to get from HL so that u don't run into spare parts prob. Auth Agent will prioritise the spares they have for bikes bought from them. Only when they have a safe margin of spares, then they may sell to bikes shops who got their bikes from Alternative sources. Further, HL doesn't have an infamous reputation.

Hi guys. Understand that XJ riders are a pretty rare species here in sg and this is by far the only place i could find with the most info available. I'm currently riding a spec3 and considering to upgrade to a XJ6N but there are a few ques I hope u guys could help me with before I decide.

 

1) I ride around 65% on the highways cruising at 120km/h, what's the rough FC I'll get riding the XJ?

 

2) Any idea how's the maintenance as compared to a spec3?

4) Read that there's ABS model in Europe, are the ABS models available here?

1) from my experience, 1 liter can get roughly 20km

2) this one i cannot advise, new to this bike too

3) i did hard run in with dyno jet few months back. Was told there's this bike bought via parallel import, ZX10 to be precise. The mechanic scared to do hard run in coz there was some noise when over rev. Not all parallel import have this issue but i think agent would be better right? Just my 2cents.

4) Yup bro ABS model available here.

Agrees, got my Rear Hugger, Tail Tidy and Bragster XJ6 Tank Bra from e-bay as well, Checked out with my brother in UK/Newcastle on the parts, the electronic parts are very ex over there, quoted 90 pounds just for the tail tidy when u can get it at 40, without signal lights.

 

Anyways, the integrated tail lights are they legal?? did U getting the LED ones? was told to keep away from those cos Uncle SAM love to catch, but if u have any other sources that says other wise i'd love to grab them as well...ahahaha

 

intergrated tail lights are illegal. Mine is the LED type. Its a gamble that i took. But all i can say is the back end of the bike looks damn hamsumm!

Really dunno whats wrong with them. Its like they are putting a witch hunt on bikes or what. Cars be it internal or external, mod way way way in excess of bikes. Futher they should be concerntrating on enforcement upon class 4 & 5 vehicles with all the high profile cases. Cars have the potential to do more damage on others yet, most of the time, there is little enforcement to them relative to bikes.

 

Their priorities need to be seriously re-evaluated.

2) At what gear is best to maintain/cruise 120km/h?

3) Any advices like what need to do and what NOT suppose to do?

4) What are the common problems I might face for this bike?

5) At the ignition there is a parking logo, may I know what is that and what is the purpose?

6) Best at what temperature should it be before I move off after a long day/week didn't on.

1) i think 30-40 shld b ok ba… mayb ard 5k rpm( i think tts abit dragging already)

2) for 6th gear 6k rpm is 108km/h so 120 is abt 6.5k rpm

3) not really… just go wild!! haha…

4) Common problem is your qns for number 5. Dun leave it to parking mode.

5) the purpose for the parking hazard light is none… haha… serious

6) 60 is hot enough

1) is it normal for the temperature around 90 degrees - 105 degrees? that is the always temperature I see normally.

2) how do u know if the temperature is very high? as in will they indicate somewhere that is overheated?

Yes, thats normal… I think for every big bike there's a temp high indicator… can read the manual

Just curious, where do u guys service ur bikes? Alot of shops I go to always say xj6 parts no stock. So in the end I go agent. A bit ex but worth it I think. Just did valve clearance throttle body service and basically top service cost me 1.3k. But now bike even smoother then new. But wonder if got any other gd shops maybe a bit cheaper.

Guys i have a qn to ask, normally i will just service at normal shops

EO, spark plug, etc

But i wonder, i know we dont have carbourator, so dont need to do any setting on d bike?

If there is, where can i do it?

I mean when im riding kr, we need to do the air and oil setting,

So not sure if our bike need to do.
