in terms of:

- insurance

- spare parts

- aftermarket parts

- resale value

- power (which give out more roll on torque?)

Thx all. Am narrowing it down to these two bikes for my cl2. Basic maintenance like tyres, brakepads, EO, plugs should be the same right? So no point comparing.

That time I ask him, he said 19K OTR 2008 model Hornet 6.

Very cool and terrific outlook, quite exp for a 600 road bike but surely a head turner.

1) Insurance for 600cc should be OK, beside these are road bikes.

2) Hornet spare part, depends on the item some readily available some not. FZ6 shouldn't be a problem, ebay is another good source for parts too.

3) Power?

Hornet max. torque =

3.5 Nm at 10,500 rpm

max. power =

102 bhp (76 kW) at 12,000 rpm

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Hornet

Fazer 6 max. torque =

63.1 N·m (46.5 lbf·ft) @ 10,000 RPM for S2 version

51.7 N·m (38.1 lbf·ft) @ 10,000 RPM for Standard version

max. power =

72 kW (98 PS) (97HP) @ 12,000 RPM for S2 version.

57 kW (77 PS) (76HP) @ 11,500 RPM for Standard version

*seems like they quite on par in torque, FZ6 torque comes in earlier. But Hornet got a upper hand in power.

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine
