16/42 u get ratio of 2.625

15/39 stock u get 2.6

issit worth changing 2 sprocket just to get the increment of acceleration of 0.025?

where u could get better acceleration by just changing to 14/39?

btw 14/39 = 2.785

which is almost equal to 15/52... but u have seriously weird sprocket size there.. why use 16? u could use 15 or 14.. u get superb pickup already..

imagine u're on:

15/42 : 2.8

14/42 : 3.0

damn solid n power acceleration/pickup but ur topend suffer.. if u really hands itchy.. wanna try what is solid pickup.. try changing ur front to 14.. since ur rear is 42 already.. u will love the pickup.. ahhaa

hope that helps.. any queries ask me loh.. try to help if i noe

I also dont know why i on so funny numbers. My mechanic la, always taking my bike to play with sprocket ratios. Lucky its free of charge.

14/42 i try before already. Real solid but the top end suffer like hell and the gear changes are damn fast to prevent the engine from over revving. Feels like riding a scrambler.

I'm looking somewhere in the middle as i travel on the highway often. Maybe i will go with the 15/42 range. =)

Thanks for the help.

Btw, any idea on how much YSS fully adjustable cost in SG?

yss fully adjustable(for racing) like 300-400.. the non fully adjustable wingyap selling 180 or 190..

and u travel more on highway like me.. better if u use 15/37.. highway v.nice to ride.. but moving off - mid range very laggy.. so my advice.. 15/39(stock).. best!!

pickup gd.. highway oso gd.. win win situation..

know limit la dun so chiong lo
