low speed at high gear, will cause u're engine to stutter...dropping just one gear at this point might not be enough...best is for u to fammiliarise with u're bike better...

I owned a 125Z for 6+ years and I can say that your engine is most efficient at 5-7K rpm. Anything lower and you don't have enough power to react to anyone, and are wasting fuel going so slow.

2 strokes are very inefficient and produce very little torque at low revs, so make use of your entire rev range :) Once you reach 5000+ rpm and your exhaust resonance starts to pack in the cylinder, you take off like magic carpet because the bike is so light.

The 125Z is a dream to ride, whack all day and cruise at 120kph, still gives me 37km/l till the day I sold the bike (because it ran so well everything became loose...). Tune it well and you can carry a pillion at 160kph. Okay so it's a 125cc but its 2 stroke so twice the theoretical power of a 4 stroke, and the bike weighs what, 70 kilos? That's like a feather.

Yah 2 stroke powerband came @ 5000-7000rpm,Riding below 70kmh you see like no power at all.My RXZ also same ride 80kmh and 100kmh fuel no difference.

agrees with rezz_shaz about 2 stroke engine is most efficient at 5-7K rpm.

at first i thought i was only for 2 stroke sport bikes. but when i rode my friends rxz. it is also the same.

so try to keep your rpm around 5-7k for better response from your throttle to " siam " away.

Ride safely !
