So far I know TA150 is 2 stroke setup... whereas TA200 a 4 stroke engine. TA150 out of production, TA200 still available in new machine with pretty neat paint work. Didn't ride a Phantom before, but as a pillion love its super comfortable seating. One thing, this baby doesn't equip with any fuel gauge. If you require more information drop in "Phantom knight" thread they would be glad to share all u nid to know about Phantom.

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

nowadays theres not much discussion about ta150. and majority of phantoms u see on the road are the ta200.

ta150 is less economical (FC wise) , less environmental friendly (2stroke, release more smoke, air pollution )

ta150 top speed higher than ta200

hmmm...

ta150:

2 stroke

powerful at high rev

higher top speed

cruise at 100km/h wif lesser vibration

almost or over 10years old

very bad fc

ta200:

4 stroke

gd fc

lots of vibration (if cruise more than 100km/h... i think...)

powerful at low rev

low top speed (think ard 120km/h - 140km/h)

Nice bassy exhaust sound

TA150 - 170kph top speed :D

TA200 - up to 42km/l fuel consumption (WITH panniers) depending on engine and state of tuning/maintenence. Some minor mods needed if you want speed or power but it's decent considering the size of the thing. If performance is desired then sacrifice some economy, or shed some weight. This is a great hobby bike for DIY work.

Most buy TAs for appearance / comfort and they don't disappoint in customisation options either.

Maintenence tip. Small cc engine on a biggish frame, so be prepared to change your engine oil more frequently on other bikes. Use Motul 3000 or 5100, which costs only $10 and $16 respectively. This will keep your Phantom going through the years with little other issues. Chain tensioner should be serviced every 20,000km but this isn't costly either.

Tyres, drive chain are super durable and don't need much attention besides the basics. That means oil the chain every 600km / 1 week, and inspect tyre pressure occasionally.

Phantom grab the attention of riders of various age... population might exceed super four.
