What law is that? If no illegal modifications and all riding in not a reckless/dangerous fashion, can you tell me what we may get charged for? Haven't read/heard anything like it since being owning a vehicle for past seven years. Please enlighten me, so I may not make the infrigement if the law really exists.

Anyone can ride a bike. Being a biker, is a state of mind.

What's wrong with convoying? With veterans on powerful Cls 2 and 2A bikes to lead the way, and disciplined formation for the cargo-hauling "bombers", some of us forumers ran a 30 bike convoy last week.

Anyways, who's interested to reactivate the Bollywood Outing Group :p

We met a TP on duty at the side of the road who assisted us by making all those speeding goods vehicles slow down.

Anyone up for joining this relaxing ride?

If not may just carry on myself and cancel the meet up, so I dont have to waste time and go down to Yio Chu Kang and wait for anyone.

I think like the good ol days it's up to both of us to whip together a winning recipe.

I don't actually like the big outing groups as it tends to get messy and impersonal all at once. Small groups tend to have better reaction time + don't suffer from the inevitable "turn up 2 hours after event starts" issues. Plus, since it's just 2 of us we disperse peacefully after the outing and plan for the next one immediately. Sadly, this is when big groups start arguing amongst themselves (human nature).

Can try to call PK and see if we can organise a 3 bike outing. PK should be fast enough these days to survive on the highways :p

Yup, I have been trying reach PK too, he's quite busy with work and attachment. Hopefully weekend he is much more free.

We could stick to the Wednesday 9.30pm timing, if its find with you, I'll check with PK in the meantime (:

I agree about the large outing groups vs. small ones (like 2 or 3 ppl) experienced many before and it's honestly hard, especially if you are an organizer you want safety for all your riders too, no accident or bangs or MIA during the ride. Gets tough I could say after a while, especially with differing views from others and besides I don't know many who wouldn't even ride about close to 50km. That's just my 2 cents on previous rides, its more stopping then riding! haha

I want try and figure a way to attach a camera. Am hunting for a small one which would give a good video after uploading as well as light and easy to attach, hopefully I get something soon.

Creative has quite a good mini DV camera but I hate lithium polymer batteries with a vengeance. Their lifespan can be measured in months = waste of money.

The original digicam on cheap tripod and cable ties or string idea works well. Cable ties have been working well for me over the past 3 months.

I have a feeling we will be attracting an outcry from other people saying this and that is very dangerous. Unfortunately, these people need to get a sense of humor and a life.

In terms of safety, paired riding is always superior to solo. Decisive overtaking is sadly, the correct procedure in local traffic conditions. Rural roads are where true riding skill is born and bred, since ideal track conditions don't exist in the real world.

Plus, we can always demonstrate proper lack of safety at any time in Little India. Which while tremendously entertaining, is not what local riders (or us) practise at all. Discipline is after all a paramount skill when dealing with powerful modern bikes.

There are still a lot of nice roads we've not explored yet, and lovely settings we have not used for photography. I've developed the concept of intercepting a sunrise or sunset almost to an art form (pioneered by yourself actually in our first paired outing) and what better than to run two cameras while riding into a crimson sky?

So I guess the base concept of reviving the good ol Bollywood outing days is sound but I'm not sure about tomorrow. A courtesy call at PK's place would be appropriate as a tribute to a mutual friend.

Thanks, I guess I'll stick to my classic style of Sony digi held on with a cheap tripod mounted securely with kopi thiam engineering cable ties. Works best for getting a good quality video and easily accessible by USB ports or memory chips.

Yup let's go visit PK and see if he's doing fine, heard it's not so good hope it's not worse then the wounds I had. And wonder what happened to his beautiful cbr. Now talking abt pk's cbr I saw my old cbr which I sold, at city hall and an

ambulance alongside the road. The owner I sold too, had met with a minor accident. Sadly I lost their contact and can't seem reach them to enquire any further. Shld pay my bike a visit soon (:

The interesting thing about CBR150 accidents I noticed is that the rider is always not at fault.

Why? CBR150 has a minimal profile (ie, looks very small on the road), nor is it loud enough to wake sleeping drivers up from blundering around aimlessly. That aside it is a good first bike... although I can't sit on it :p How do giant Caucasians in Australia and Thailand say it's "comfortable and powerful"?

A combination of rural exploration, efficient urban route planning, precise and efficient photographic sessions followed by autocross madness at Top Gear Singapore's (Homemade Edition) secret airfield test facility :D

Whomever said going to Pasir Gudang is the only worthwhile thing to do...

Love the Auto Cross Changi madness, together with each of those beautifully made corners where a precise camera angle was captured (:

Hope more people can join in future rides.

Oh lol I made it to work in the rain. Riding is almost too easy after last night's Top Gear production :3

Videos... probably tonight. Ultra hungry after taking a 4am "breakfast" (does increase metabolic rate a lot).

Btw, planning the night hiking session for this Sat night. Get lots of sleep before that!

Posted

I have a friend (Bottlecap) who may join us for the ride on sat.

If that's ok?

Day or night? Remember to conserve battery for the night hiking :3

Night time, about 8.45?

What time is your night hiking? 11pm right? (:
