Hi all,i would like to share with u guys my recent riding trip with guys and hope my story won't bored u guys and pls pardon me for my lousy english.

Day 1,27/5/10

Moved off from Gelang Patah petronas at 10pm,as i was travelling at 80km/hr,i moved off first and 3 of my friends are moving at a later time, reach pagoh 2 hrs later and my bum gets numb.Pump RM6 of petrol and continue my journey and reach KL at 4am and by now my bum got no feeling.Took an hr of rest and continue my journey and managed to reach the Thai border at 2pm.After about 15 mins i saw my friends and all this while i was riding alone and so i am really happy to see them.We decided not to stop at Hatyai and so we parted ways again, managed to reach Thung Soon which is about 190km north of Hatyai at around 7 plus in the evening.Damn steam after riding for 21 hr plus and i can see that my seat got the contour of my bum lol.Book a hotel and get a shower and i call my friends and they say they are nearing Chumphon and so i say i meet him at Kanchanaburi the next day.

Day 3,29/5/10

Moved off at 9am in the morning, reach Dasingkhon border pass near Prachap Khiri Khan at 6pm.The border pass is located along the isthmus of kra and the border between Thailand and Myanmar. Finally i reach Kanchanaburi at 1am,took a quick supper and meet up my friends in the hotel.

Day 4,30/5/10

Moved off from Kanchanaburi at 9am,my friends decided to go to Chiangmai and me to Mae Sot and so we parted ways again and to meet at Mae Hong Son tomorrow evening.Replace my engine oil and chain at bht 250 near Suphanburi, pass by Chainat,Kampheng phet and Tak and reach Mae Sot at 6 plus in the evening and i received a sms,my friend got into an accident at Lampang. My friend bike was badly damaged and so i had to continue my trip alone.

Day 5,31/5/10

Moved off at 9am and b4 that i got an empty 4 litres bottle to fill up with petrol as my tank is tiny. After an hour of riding i reach the Burmese refugees camp along the Thai-Myanmar border. We are really lucky to be singaporeans. The mountains road is simply breathtaking and enjoy the ride and feels that all the sufferings is worthwhile.Reach Mae Hong Son at 6pm.

Day 6,1/6/10

Moved off from MHS at 9am after collecting the cert from Mhs chamber of commerce and reached Chiangmai at 4pm,stay at a guesthouse near the night bazaar and went to the nearby Burger king for my dinner and it was at this fast food joint 6 months ago that i had a idea of touring with my wave, more economical than riding a touring bike.

Day 7,2/6/10.

Moved off from Chiangmai at 9am and arrived at Chiangrai just in time for lunch, had a quick lunch at a chinese restaurant and proceed to Mae sai, took some photos at the border and from there i proceed to Golden Triangle and reach there at 2pm.I thought of spending the night here but still got daylight leh and so from there i proceed to Chiang Khong,as the immigration office is going to close at 4 30pm,i had to wait for tomorrow morning at 8 30am to get my paperworks done in order to cross into laos.Had some grilled chicken and beer for my dinner and oh my,my hand is charred from all the riding these past few days and no regret, all the long rides are worth it.Met a group of Malaysian 4wd vehicles and they are going on an expedition to Mount Everest, they were really shocked to see me with my wave.

Day 8,3/6/10

Wake up early in the morning and feeling anxious and excited, arrived at the immigration office, paid Bht200 for the paperworks and conveyance form and off to the jetty.Got passport stamped, paid Bht 300 for the sampan river crossing and off i crossed over to Huoay Xai,Laos. At first,i forgot that Laos roads are left hand drive and 1 of the motorcyclist horn me and i quickly steer to the right side of the road.Passed Luang Namtha and arrived at the China border at Boten at 4pm.I could not believed that my wave could bring me this far without any problem at all and frankly i did not bring any tools or tyre repair kit with me and i always pray to the lord that me and my bike would be safe and i thank the lord for blessing me.Checked into a hotel for Kips 82500 or Renminbi 70 yuan as most of the inhabitants here are chinese national.there are 2 casinos here and a lot of 'working' girls here. After dinner i retire to my room to get some rest and watching cable and had a very satisfying dinner, egg fried rice and Harbin beer for a mere 15 renminbi yuan.

Hi bro,i dun used a gps,no money to buy hehehe, alone all the time 99%,bike never give me problem and i was cruising at 70 to 80km/hr as i do not want to stress my bike, this explained my long riding hours and actually i bought the Laos map by the GT riders for 250bht at a travel and money exchange agency at Chiang Khong.Hi gunshead u can go to the where to ride section to find the thread and sorry bro,i am not very good with computers.

Day 9,4/6/10

Moved off from Boten at 8am and after 20km of riding,i had arrived at the infamous roads of Laos, full of potholes, stone and uneven surface and i could only rode my bike at a speed of 20km/h and i had to keep on praying to the lord that my shocks and tyres won't give way.The roads here is very remote and the Chinese are helping the Laotians to repair the roads. After a couple of hrs of heart wrenching ride i had arrived at Odom Xai at 2pm,the roads from here to Luang Prabang is still alright,a bit of potholes and uneven surface here and there and finally i arrived at Luang Prabang,a Unesco Heritage Town. The town here is fabulous and i check in to a newly open guesthouse by the name of Sakura for 100000 kips. This guesthouse is damn nice, with 26 inch lcd tv and resort deco for a mere 400bht.Damn shiok man and really dun feel like leaving this place but cannot leh, have to be bk home by 13/6/10 caused i am missing my wife and daughter oredi hehehe.

Day 10,5/6/10

Moved off from Luang Prabang at 8am and heading to Vientiane. The roads from Luang Prabang to Vientiane is simply amazing, over 1 thousand metres high of mountainous road and the climate here is very cooling and some roads are above the cloud, stop by a restaurant at the mountains and enjoy the beautiful landscape from here, had my lunch and enroute to Vientiane,i had a head on collision at Kasi,50km from Vian Vieng.Luckily i was wearing my riding jacket and pant,i was alrite. The left side of my bike are totalled and i can't change gear properly cause the gear lever is crooked but i can still ride my bike.A defeated soul but not a defeated bike, managed to get to Vieng Vang and my left shoulder is taking the toll becoz of the fall.I had to endure the pain cause i had to ride to Khon Kaen to visit my mother in law and get my bike done up.Retire early for the nite, whole body is aching and had a few bottles of beer at a restaurant packed with caucasian bikini babes, the ang moh like to float around the Mekong with big round tubes at Vieng Vang and had 2 sandwiches for dinner.
