Visiting Singapore - Wants to do a Day Trip Around the Country - Any suggestions?

Hi Everyone.

I'll be visiting Singapore this coming August for a few days on a business trip and I'm planning on maybe being able to insert a day to do a ride within the country.

I'm planning on renting a Piaggio X8 Maxiscoot from Ban Hock Hin (http://www.banhockhin.com.sg/leasing2/OurMotorCycles.html) just to get around the country and do a mini adventure ride.

The ride around Singapore Trip should not take more than a day. Maybe start 7am and end by 6pm latest. I'm planning on doing this on a week day (most likely a Wednesday).

Questions:

1. Is this feasible? Are there any recommended route/itinerary that I can pursue?

2. Are 200cc Maxiscoots permitted to use the expressways in SG? Hence no restrictions on where I can go?

Thanks in advance for the info, Singaporebikes.com biker brothers :)

200cc scooters can be used on expressways.. no worries..

it's ok to ride around SG, but i dont think you can enjoy much with traffic jams :D

perhaps let us know what would be interest to you ? sight seeing ? city area ? shopping ?

Thanks for the initial response guys.

kmax, i'd really like to do a ride to an interesting destination - hopefully with a bits of twisty roads along the way, and without traffic jams of course :D Its all about the ride.

What are your usual weekend ride destinations there? Would I need to cross over to Malaysia for the ride that I want to do? :)

On weekends people looking for a long ride usually ride up to Malaysia :)

If you want to stay in Singapore you can try riding to the Lim Chu Kang farms and wander around there. Just pure riding around, you'll be done in an hour (there and back). But if you include visiting some farms that can take you half a day or so depending on how many farms you visit.
