Oh, regarding u guys suggestion on killing the engine. If got no cut off switch, how to turn off? I was thinking of purposely stalling the engine. i.e. Kick to gear 2, release clutch while holding brakes. Is that harmful to the bike/engine?

Not that my bike has any probs, but just wondering in case it happens to my bike, or any other bikes for that matter. After all, this is a place where we all share our knowledge on bikes.

Stall the engine is a way to stop the engine, by the way it should be a temporary measure. But I'm not sure if there's huge stress on the clutch plate since engine trying to transmit power to rear wheel and the brake is refraining the action. Another way for big bike is, put down your side stand and engage first gear. ECM has this feature where side stand must disengage then clutch in and step on to first gear. Hope it helps.

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

yups, only as a temporary measure...not only the clutch plate, but imagine the stresses on the pistons, conrod and crankshaft as well...its like ur tryong to push sumbody tats trying to push u back..sooner or later either one is gona giv..

I have a similar problem with my bike before. But diffrent bike. I find that the best way to cut off the engine is to just remove the plug cap. make sure to use a tool that does not transfere electric.

As for finding out what's wrong with the bike. Here's what you can try. Most new bikes will cut off when Ignition cable is cut. Try to remove the front pannel of your bike. Disconnect the cable that leads to your Ignition Switch. If the bike turn off. It usualy means that you have a faulty Ignition Switch. On older bikes on the other hand. You need to connect the two wires that leads to the Ignition Switch. That would cut off the bike. Have Fun testing out. And Good Luck. Make sure you don't try to remove the plug cap by hand when bike is running, Might get a good shock out of it.

Time for a bigger bike....

Can elaborate a little more? "Disconnect the cable that leads to your Ignition Switch. If the bike turn off. It usualy means that you have a faulty Ignition Switch. "

There's a socket that comes out of your Ignition. For older bikes. If you disconnect the socket, the bike will keep running even after you turn off the Ignition and lock your handle. As for certain newer bikes, If you disconnect the Socket, the bike will cut off right away. But for cubs you need to take off some coverset to get to it.

Did a readup on decarbonising to cure engines that refused to stop running. Have you tried that?
