this bike still an eye turner though its already on the road for 2 yrs!

great sport tourer but for $24k to get a 800cc V4 engine and 100+ hp, u may want to consider the Fz1/Busa/Z1000/SV1000/Vstrom?

any comments on VFR750??

parts availability, fuel consumption, any known common faults??

thanks.

thought u wanted to get something that consumes less fuel?

vfr's are not known to be fuel conserving though. my friend's ex 98or99 vfr800 does 13-15km/l.

vfr750's are pretty rare right now though...

the 750 is bound to be more frugal due to a smaller displacement and the fact that it runs on carbs.

Secondly, power figures are nearly meaningless, especially on this kinda bike. It is how the bike delivers the power that is important. Whats the point of 200bhp if it is available at 14000rpm. the 100 horses in the VFR is extremely usable on the road. If you are planning to really cane the bike at the top end, then maybe this bike ain't for you anyway, Honda has a screaming CBR in it's range.

dunno but according to my friend, the bike gulps petrol or maybe his bike's a lemon. also could be the way he rides as the bike has pretty good acceleration making him wanna twist it all the time. u have to seek opinions from the vfr owners group which....hmm.. dissapeared? couldnt seem to find it here.

btw, 21km/l is somehow close to 400cc sportbike fuel comsumption. my ex-gix4 does 19 to 20km/l.

i'm not looking for power..in a way. just that the vfr got big 21l tank. and if it uses 21km/l consumption, that will amount to >400km pe full tank. that is wat i am interested in.....n also the tourque of v4.)

someone selling so i thought ask around see see first.

can't seem to get any vfr riders to clarify..

i remember reading the vfr thread and a guy mentioned 98-99 vfr drink more petrol than 00-01 models as 00-01 models got catalytic converters. their consumption was around 20-21km/l.

carb has always been (exclude tdm) more fuel frugal than efi.

any vfr rider to clarify?? where are the viffers??? hpmmm

isn't it interesting?? i always tot EFI was more fuel efficient than carbs... hmm, then what advantage does EFI have over carbs??

when efi came out, everybody thought the same until real life experience showed us otherwise.

So far none of the V4's are known for their fuel economy..... All drink ..... VFR considered good liao.

There is an unregistered 750 (new bike, old model) at Looi's some time back... maybe you can get it for a bargain price.
