2 more issues to chk on:

1. Does the bike vibrate hard when you accelerate(from abt 2k to 5 or 6k) by opening the throttle hard. I dun have much exp with big bikes but somehow the bike seems to "rock" when I try to rev up. Wonder is it cos of its V set up.

2. Does it have a coolant reserve? If yes, where can I find it? Perhaps u guys can enlighten me as to where can I find an English manual...

The temp thing I'll try again cos it's jus feedback when my bro rode the bike last week. I only had a chance to ride it this morning cos of my overseas trip.

However, thanks a lot for all the info provided and the help provided when I was trying to get the bike. You guys are just great.

1. if you are are higher gears (usually only 5th or 6th gear if your at 2K) and below 3k. Yesh there is a slight throbbling feeling (a typical V-twin feeling but yet at high frequecy.. in short.. smoother then a v-twin.). But it should not vibrate hard. But then again this depends on age of bike. My seems less solid/smooth as compared to the time when my clock reads 00,001km.. hehehe

When you are past 4th gear, it should be nice and smooth as butter.

2. Yesh there is a coolant reserve. It is directly behind the left radiator. I hve a copy of the english and other language manual, including the Hinda service manual. Gimme a buzz if you are keen to have them

3. Well temp varies to each rider, type of riding, place of riding and time of riding. The general rule is it should not exceed the danger temp easily. if it does probably you should look into its cooling system. Impurities along the cooling system affects the rate of heat transfer greatly.

take your time to enjoy this great machine. Its really built for what it intended to be. For the very first time, i realised its super comfort. Thats when i rode an R1 for 4 days and a brand new G6 for 3. When I rode back my babe, god it feels like riding a car. Even a less than 200km new sports bike feels super different from the viffer. The vibration and comfort is the most distinct.

The fellow viffers here are all very helpful and knowledgable. koma's one fo the power ones. Always have great projects on his bike... Sibei steady one. Check out his hazard lights and fan switch... they are class 1 man!! I love the way its blended!!

:thumb:

Just approach any viffer owner here and I am sure they would be glad to share they knowledge and experience...

Ride hard & safe...

Hi guys,

Questions again...

Since I haven't got my manual from the previous yet. May I know what is the minimum octane level petrol that I can use on this bike? Can I use 95 petrol?

2nd thing is I only have 1 key, if I wanna dublicate another key, how much does it cost and where can I have it done?

Thnx in advance to the helpful people here...

Good day fellow V4 riders  ,

I'm acting as ambassador on behalf of the RVF400 group to warmly invite you guys to join a new club we are forming that comprises of all V4 bikes.

Have you guys heard of the Force V4 club Japan? We are forming the singapore branch locally and would be honoured if you guys can join Force V4 Club SG 's very 1st meetup this saturday 18th december in conjunction with SBF carnival.

Pls read the quotes below by our founding member, TachiTJRS for more info and undertanding about the club ;

Hi guys, I am proposing that perhaps all of us who ride Honda bikes with a V4 engine, whether it be a NC30,NC35,RC46 etc..could form a

"Force V4" club. We can organise regular meetups for DIY sessions, wash and service, plus share tips on parts, mods and riding improvement. For the bigger Sports Tourer brothers in the VFR800s, we should include them too as the V4 engine is a complex engine to service.

I am also a member of the Japanese club

below.

http://www.tokyo-info.net/forcev4/

If you look in Whats New, you can see my name on the list.

let's have our first meetup as the first members of "FORCE V4 SINGAPORE". If you ride or know anyone who rides the following Honda bikes, please encourage them to gather. This club will be a meeting point for all riders who own V4 Hondas or are interested in V4 Hondas. We can pool our resources together for things like ordering parts, maintenence and service issues, plan organized trips, informal meetups and encourage safe riding. For those interested in tuning and track days, I can also organize it in the future.

But for now, I hope we can make the RVF/VFR group into something more formal and form a closeknit unit of Honda V4 enthusiasts. Other Honda bikes are also welcome to join but the focus will be primarily on V4s.

NC13 - VF400F

NC21 - VFR400R,Z,K

NC24 - VFR400R

NC30 - VFR400R

NC35 - RVF400RR,RT

RC07 - VF750S, Sabre

RC09 - VF750C, Magna

RC15 - VF750F

RC30 - VFR750R

RC45 - RVF750R

RC46 - VFR800 (VTEC)

RC49 - VFR800P

SC26 - ST1100

SC51 - ST1300

As above.... a namelist is rolling in the RVF thread for this saturday's meetup before the CArnival.

The outing details can be found here http://www.singaporebikes.com/forum/index....c=32544&st=5910

If you like, you guys can directly add your names to the latest namelist in the rvf thread or right here and i'll consolidate the namelist.

Got a question to ask. Which is the RC49? What I reckon from VFR800P is a police bike used in japan and hongkong. Is it called RC49?

By the way, nice suped up RVF400. For track use only?

Hehe..the bike is not a RVF400. Its the uncle, a modified RC30 ( VFR 750).

In regards to the RC49....I dun have the answers to your question but TAchi might, as he is an affiliated member with the main Force V4 Owners Club in Japan.

so come on down and join us on saturday and we can talked about everything pertaining to our beloved V4 motorbikes , what say you?

Ok the plugs are here

30 each. Lobang gave me a 15% discount. As I bought 24 plugs, the calculation are as follows

24 plugs ---- $30x24 = $720

15% --------- $720x0.85 = $612

GST ---------- $ $612x1.05 = $642.6

so, per plug -- $642.6/24 = $26.775

The quantity split is as follows

Me - 12

Cheeko - 4

None - 4

Francis - 4

kindly give me a ring at 96950802 to colelct the plugs. Thank you

oops paiseh wrong building.. yesh its far east plaza.. the other brand more special ... is black in color somemore can change to a very "tiong" fairing one... but personal opinion is the maisto one is more realistic.. but it only comes inr ed...

heheh again i still like ur switch!!

about the t-shirt.. i have got a few opinions for outsiders' point of view.. those who have done t-shirts for their clubs and the reviews theyu got ...

1. we must make clear if it is a polo T (more formal) ot a normal t-shirt (less formal)

polo-T

a) we should have a simple logo in front (best not a cartoon of the V-tec.. coz this way, we kinda "dun welcome" the non V-Tec viffers)... i would love a VteC cartoon though!! hehehe

Why? coz this way, we include the odler gen VFRs and also the new VFRs for the coming years....

b) simple wordings (back) which is not loud, and yet reflects our VFR group/community

T-shirt

a) Loud pics.. colorful on the rear

By the way, so many colors.. it is also expensive.. and personally i would perefer a polo-T.. duno about the rest... but i wouild love to have both...

wiuth these constraints... tink i will have to redesign again..

never mind i get my company dapearance designer help hehehe

Yes that is correct/

The Japanese TP uses then for their patrol bikes.

Please see the pictures on this link.

http://www.geocities.co.jp/MotorCity-Pit/5347/whitevfr.htm

The designation P at the end of the VFR800 stands for 'Police'.

Honda builds on order for the Japanese highway patrol with special equipment like HUD dashboard, signallers, build in boxes, emergency kits and some other regular Police equipment. The special code of RC49 is necessary to diffrerentiate from the regular RC46 older model. This helps the parts department not to botch up orders and end up giving civillians Police parts for their RC46!

My dream bike? Exactly the same as the one in my avatar: a silver VFR800 VTEC. (Unless Honda releases a really good update to this bike, I am sticking to this one.) I am saving up and trying to earn some money by working on campus during the semester and getting an externship during summer. I should have the cash for it when I graduate. It's about $24k new, right? :cheeky:

ha ha...its not restricted to NC35 only, Its just that I ride one so its easier to gather similiar riders for the initial meetup. Please visit the site at the bottom of my signature to see the Japan group. Almost every kind of Honda motorcycle with a V4 engine is in it.
