ah 8? faster jio jio a few more ppl then can get at $58

i wanna check with you. Which one is brighter in terms if candela units? (crystal vision and diamond vision) coz i would like to have a white/bluish look but i do not want to compromise being less bright compared to crystal vision. Kindly advise coz I am still tinking of 2 crystal instead of 2 diamonds

thank you

Great to hear they work well. As for future orders.. hmm.. Not too sure. Am still stuck with 5 sets that people need to collect and pay. Once that is taken care of I will consider ordering more.

was reading a bit of info on the VRF site in the uk. Seems that there might be some wrong valve adjustment info in the VFR VTEC service manual. Its regarding the surging problem. They talk about a test where you try to hold the revs constant at 3500 in neutral gear. I tried it and also can't hold it there. It shoots up from 2k to 4500 very fast. Not easy to control throttle. Everybody has the same issue as me too? Only 2002 models and newer. The guy even link it to the O2 sensors and claims that if you have a proper valve adjustment settings the O2 sensons need not be swapped at all but this is still being discussed. interesting reading. Anyway, I am quite happy with the riding pewrformance even tho in neutral I have the surging issue so will not do a valve adjustment or any other drasic measure soon. Was just wondering if I am the only one with this surging here.

yup. i also have this surging problem at exactly 2.5k rpm. I related this to the low rpm (0~3k) suring while in gears.

It should be due to the sensors. It goes into closed once past 3k or 25% throttle. With or whitout swopping the sensor connectors, this problem still persist. I cant really feel any difference after swapped them. Prob swap them back

My experience with the 5th gen 1998 & 1999 VFR800FIW & X series (year 98~2001)

1st~ wat the petrol consumption like??? 17km/l at normal city riding: 12km/l at constant 160~200kmph on the NS highway. Model year 2000 onwards are more economical.

2nd~ wat the top speed?? speedo indicated 250~260.

3rd~ how the maintenance like??? minimal. From manual: Oil & filter change 3l at 12000km; Air filter: 24000km (but vary with riding condition) a K&N stock replacement cost about $85. K&N cleaning kit abt $20 a set. Spark plugs- NGK iridium - $13 each, Denso iridium $16 each. Tyres (rear and front set) BT014 / BT020 about $280~320 should last about 7000~10000km depending on riding style; Sprokets and chain set $240~280 (DID X-ring chain and Afam sprocket). Brake pads cost without installation, Ferodo platinum- organic compound - $20+ per set (for 1 disc); EBC HH compound - $50-~60 per set.

4nd~ wat the price for a new bike? 5th gen not in production anymore, but there may still be one unit (i think) in Loois. When new, it cost about $22-$24K- about the same as the present 6th genners (underseat exhaust).

Is there any website abt it??? http://www.vfrdiscussion.com is a great site. http://www.yft.org/tex_vfr/tech.htm gives great tips and links.

cos i cant find any...

Thk...to those reply me!!! U r welcomed.

mi riding 2002 vtec abs model.

1. 17km/l city traffic. foll tank can go 300 before hitting reserve

2. top 250-260

3. easy. like vftt said.

4. depend on whether you want original box and/ or ABS.

bike price alone is 18.7k for abs without boxes ( erp + COE + reg + tax + Ins not included). Add boxes add 1.6k. drop ABS - 1k.

V4 engine with a torque character and a heavy machine. high fuel consumption is only after vtec opens.....
