can try known shops like sanfu, loois, etc...

anyone know how to pop a wheelie on this babe?

tried 1st gear rolling till 3k rpm than ramp up to 10k rpm fast but the front wheel simply wont bounce

tried these 2 methods and it poped once or twice.... once in a long while it maintains till 1 gear runs out of breath

1. maintain at just above v-tec cut in pt (maybe 8k~9k), close and open fast.

This one, the bike slowly comes up as your distance increase. But by the time it reaches a good angle, no rpm liaos.. it drops

2. Accel briskly to above v-tec pt (maybe 8k~9k), then close and open throttle fully very fast. This one the bike pops up damn fast in a short distance, then you have to use your own judgement in throttle reponse onjce it is up (so wunt flip) to maintain height as there is much more rpm to use

Without panniers it runs straight while up. With panniers, it always veers right even there is no load... also dunno why.. maybe my body 1 side heavier

Oh yah for both case, i have to re-position my palm (i dunno how to put it in words...but its like riding 2B and yearning for acceleration..) to enable me to have more throttle pull. Normal riding position simply does not give enough pull to get it up.

Hope these helps, but please... do it slowly. the most important is know how your bike handles with suddenly throttle response on 1 wheel. I also started with many "front fork move a lot" practise, till it pops by only maybe 1 hand and so on. This way i roughly know what kinda response i need to input to correct the bike.

ASlso please check for any leakage when you are done.

Disclaimer : the above is not a wheelie teaching manual/instruction. Always wear protective gear when trying.

My initial landings (no on a VFR though) were all abrupt. Its bad for the forks really. Especially with a massive weight. But thats part and parcel of learning. Once you are confident of your bike behaviours with your throttle response, you will knwo how much input to land softer. i am not good at explaiing in this matter though... Giood luck:smile:

hi,can any1 kindly tell me how many cooling fan a vfr hv?i noticed it comes wif 2 radiator but dun know how many fan..thanx..

1 fan for fan 1 radiator, which is cooling the rear 2 blocks. The other raidator without a fan is for the front 2 blocks. Most prob the rear 2 ain't getting enough heat dissipation like the front

Help...

My bike died on me after parking.

Riding a 2001 (non-VTec) VFR800.

Left it at the car park for about 20mins, went back to it, can't start.

Setup sequence is the same. Got lights at the dash board.

When I press the starter, nothing clank. Everything got reset and the start up sequence starts again.

Read there could be a few reason: 30A fuse blown, one of the dashboard lights blown, batt low on charge, R/R gone...

I do not have a voltmeter so can't really do a diag. Anyone experienced it before? Pls advise.

For the Fuse and Batt, where can I get them and the price?

Thanx in advance.

Most likely old battery unable to retain charge.

Go SLT to buy a cheap

You can get the 10,15,20,30A fuse from SLT, battery from KS motor jalan besar.

There are spare fuses in your fuse box too.

Look here for a guide to test electrical.

Voltmeter will def not be able to detect this. VFR starting current is pretty much higher (can't remember though). It wil still read good voltage. After charging and ride and stop... it wills till read > 12.3V.

The symptoms you experience is basically the batt canno produce the starting current anymore (sulphation which builkds up on the cathode/anode, hence not able to produce 1x sudden large current.). Thats is why your stuff all light up (small current) when the key is turned. But upon cranking(BIG current needed), it resets.

Becareful when you use the voltmeter is you want to check current. Careful not to blow the the aplliance as the cranking current is pretty large above 20A
