Enrolment Requirements and Documents (2)

 

Requirements:

• 20 years old and above
  
• Physically and mentally fit
  
• Must not accumulate more than 12 demerit points under Driver Improvement Points System (DIPs)
  
• Must not have any class(es) of Qualified Driving Licence / Provisional Driving Licence under revocation, disqualification or suspension
  
• Possess a Class 2A Qualified Driving Licence for at least one year

 

Documents:

• Identity Card or valid Passport
  
• Singapore Qualified Driving Licence for Class 2A
  
• Additional Documents for Foreigners: valid work-permit, student pass, employment pass, dependant's pass or PR pass

Well good luck bro! Called up cdc, dey only tell me for the oct slot but cannot tell me if nov and dec have or not. Sigh... Oct one i cannot make it. Hopefully nov and dec have la. Anyway, now got new requirement or not at cdc taking class2? I heard must wear elbow and knee guards? Do dey supply them or we must buy?

Yeah, must wear. They will let you use for free, but many are in worn/ tattered condition and smell of sweat. Like the helmets.

Haha i can imagine already. Lucky i got my used elbow guard. As for knee bo pian haf to use theirs la.

Very surprised to learn that CDC doesn't allow full-face helmets to be used during lessons. From what I know, FFs are used in SSDC and BBDC without any problems.

Hi there,

I had my first lesson today at CDC and was my first time on a bike for over 20+ yrs. As I had my license long, long time ago, and did not attend the theory lessons etc from class 2B and 2A, was lost at the briefing on safety checks. Can you assist me especially the following:

- what is the difference between "checking blind-spot" and "look back"?

- how do you do a proper "blind-spot check" and "look back"?

- when do you apply and which one do you apply and the sequence eg at junction turning right or left?

- if you have the link to any manual, I will appreciate it.

 

I am already quite kancheong about riding and with the "tape recorder instructor", cannot understand what is he talking. Also could not recall the route as well when we are on our own ... haha

 

Though the instructor asked me to practice again ie I did not clear lesson 1, I am quite pleased as I did not lose much touch but am alot rusty. Body aching now as the bike is heavy. Had been driving all along and wanted to ride big bikes once in my lifetime. This is more fun but need your help to achieve my Class 2. Thanks in advance.

Would like to echo the 2 unanswered questions above: do we still need to report to class 2 lesson 1 an hour earlier for orientation? I asked the receptionist but she doesn't know either. No info on the website either so I assume don't need to appear 1 hour before lesson like 2A last time?

 

Also, compared to the xjr400 used for 2A last time, is the fz6 a large leap over that bike?

wow it takes 2 weeks to wait for a lesson in CDC on a weekend or after working hours timing on weekday. CDC class 2 lessons area so rare? this is my first time learning in CDC. use to learn in ssdc for class 2b and class 2a. Complete my class 2a lessons in SSDC in less than a week. I regret that I enrol into CDC for class 2
