puzzling..

but you'd get sore throat only if you TAREK the cigar smoke.. in this case, before you even got sore throat, you'd be coughing and coughing till ur eyes got teary first.

pardon me if I am wrong. Ain't a big time cigar smoker myself. I think the worse can happen is u'd get slight ulcers, if you're talking bout heaty and spicy..

if you ask me, cigars should not really go with wine to begin.

Port is ok becos of the sweetness. dont drink fantastic wine with a cigar.

the reason is becos both cigars and wines require the strong sense of taste and smell. if you have a good cigar with good wine, then which are you enjoying? which are you tasting? neither. therefore, when i smoke cigar, i usually dont drink wine or if a must, then i drink mediocre wine. just enuff to clear up the palate, thats all.

yup....this was raised some time ago and i second this opinion.

i think whiskey goes great with some cigars, (though u might not think so....kekeke....especially since im a Ballantine lover) as the high alcohol content effectively clears the offalotary senses at each stage of the smoke.

besides, i've always harboured the romantic image of an english gentleman in the smoking room with a glass of Scotch. :cheeky:

yes, whiskey is a hot favourite among cigar smokers. Rum too.

but i still prefer my sweet liquor...

at the end of the day, no one is totally right. heheh.

just like i find Fann Wong not that pretty at all, but some people may think she's the best in the world.

I still have some reserves left if you want more.

Then why I got sore throat when I smoke cigar.. I not up to the extend of the knowledge of smoking cigar lah.

I just enjoyed wine with cigar.. Just my own preference..

I believe everybody has their own preference in smoking cigar right?

I got talik abit of the cigar loh. Maybe the sore throat is the cause of it. But I never cough leh.

There is no strict rules that you should do this or that when smoking cigar loh.

Rules are made my human, not govern against human...

Hi Torque, thats what this thread is for.

for people to learn the art of cigar smoking...and share experiences.

You tarik on your cigar becos it is not a "real" cigar. real cigars are not artificially flavored. Flavor cigars are classified as novelties.

If you have tarik all the smoke from a real cigar, you WILL choke no matter how solid a cigarette smoker you are. then you WILL get a sore throat.

there are rules in smoking cigars, if you choose to break them, that is your perogative of course but then you may not enjoy the true essence of cigar smoking. just like tea drinking, there are certain rituals and styles and rules.

smoking cigar with wine is perfectly fine. I was only voicing against smoking good cigars with good wine becos then you will either waste the wine or the cigar.

.Hahah..... No, we will never one day come out to smoke MY collection of premium cigars.

If you really want to try a premium cigar, PM me.

Upz for Throttle.

Got 2 of his private collected cigar.

Cant wait to try them up..

Heres my first report on my experience on a cigar..

After my dinner, I settle down in the cosy room of mine and did my very first 'authentic' cigar..

I cutted the cigar and lighted it.

Initially the draws from the cigar was rather light, But the aroma is strong and it was rather smooth.

When it was like 1/4 down, The cigar was heavenly solid.

I can taste the mild sweetness on my lips. The draw is smooth, and I can feel the smoke diffusing in my mouth as i slowly exhale out ..

Not to mention, the taste was solid and I have no words to describe the feeling...

The cigar goes will with a cup of coffee... too bad I have no liquor in my house to go with it, else I bet it'll be even more fantastic.

Finally when it comes to the last part before i finished it off, I can feel that It tasted slight spicy on my lip but the feeling is still great ...

Throughout the 70 - 80 minute smoke, I enjoyed myself totally.

Cant wait for e next one man..

Perharps I'll save it for other special occasion since the cigar is kinda rare as quoted by you..

:cheeky:

Will upload some photos later...

Glad you all like it.

plse see your PM.

Hugen,

7 11 sells a few brands. some good some shitty. The DR and Cubans

brands include Don Diego which i think a pretty good quality

Romeo Y Julieta and Punch and maybe even Hoyo De Montery . All the cuban ones are in Tubes or Tubos. These are low end Habanas.

Also the storage is not proper and therefore be careful when buying. may be dry and cracked. Such Habanas are inconsistent and depending on your luck may be good or bad
