yes, ebay and many others sell cutters and cases at good prices. only thing is cant feel and touch before buying and sometimes pictures can be deceiving.

however, i think that is no harm since it's not very expensive although i've not really tried buying such things from the net.

comes in a vanilla tube???

oh no, there are only basically two cuban brands that come in vanilla tube..

Monte and Bolivar...

since you cant remember, i reckon it's the bolivar.

the bolivar is full bodied and heavy cigar which is usually too strong for starters.

earthy and woody and spicy right from the start. can be bitter too.

i dun think it's the Bolivar.... i think the name is something like St Dominican

or something like that.. i confirm can remember that it has the word

St in front of it....

The worrying part are the frieghter charges and the payment mode. Pay thru the net maybe quite dangerous esp to those unfamiliar ppl, and oversea somemore.

number, then that is not a cuban cigar. it's probably dominican republic.

taste is very tannic and tea like with herbal hints and the scent is quite light floral, such cigars can sometimes taste a little bit "plastic"...

for non cubans, try the AVO XO or the Arturo Fuente lines. Don diego and Macanudo Reserve also pretty OK. but to me, Cuban cigar are still the most flavorful..

i see.. ok then i'll take note of it.....

i'll probably try to cut a cigar tomorrow using the new cutter

i've bought.... hope that it turns out well....

You want those branded one or normal as long can light one? I am using a jet flame lighter, cheap and good. Though abit old, but i think it serves the purpose with steady flame-work to light your cigar effectively.

Colibri lighters are supposed to be not bad but I have had quite a few friends with complaints due to lighter breakdown.

I would recommend Prometheus rather than Colibri and even ST Dupont Extend series which is not so expensive at $250++

otherwise just buy from pasar malam any good looking jet flame lighter, cheap.

guys Trinidad Fundadores is a top class cigar. for $40 it is cheap as shops selling

$50++ it is almost 7 inches long but with a small ring gauge. will take about 100mins to smoke it well. CReamy and smooth but medium light and woody.

a very easy smoke.

PArtagas Serie No. 4 is a cigar that no one should miss. It is the flagship of the old school Partagas brand. Leathery woody with a pinch of spice. the toasted old style tobacco taste is very aromatic. at $25 it is cheaper than shop selling at $32

A short and medium powerful smoke, about 50 mins. Robusto size (my fave)

Shortie, why dont you smoke those as your last few if no takers...

wondering if anyone smokes pipes?

i have tried those kind of roll-it-yourself cigarettes and the tobacco doesnt taste as strong as normal marlboro cigarettes...maybe becuase there are no chemicals added...

is that the case?

cigars i have tried..dont really like the taste..& i cant be having 70 minute smoking breaks!

Cigars have the best flavors and aromas that tobacco can present.

if you dont like cigars, it's probably becos you prefer cigareetes or you dont like smoking altogether.

Cigar smoking is also a form of acquired taste and hobby, so i dont think you have smoked enuff cigars to say you dont like them.

I would suggest you try some good cigars again....

I bought my lighter from Oaks at Tanglin. Those blow torch kind. Cost $30 i think. Not bad. One shot of gas last very long with regular use. And it's working fine till now.
