There must be some misunderstanding. For the record, Rev Club has NO PROBLEMS with coverage by photographers of track events organised by any other trackday organiser. Also, neither Sepang Circuit nor track organisers place restrictions on the entry and movement of photographers during private track events. Cameramen are free to enter the track, take their pictures and sell their wares as they see fit. I understand that it is the photographers who sometimes choose to carve out a niche for themselves among the trackday events.

Rev Club is a not-for-profit undertaking started by a group of like-minded and capable trackday-goers who have pushed an agenda where safety and good organisation are central themes. The Rev Club has raised the bar on local motorcycle trackday organisation, and we are heartened that other trackday organisers have stepped up to the challenge to offer their own brand of motorcycle trackdays. Good organisers deserve our support, in whatever measure our meager budget or time will afford. We have an enviable reputation that has been painstakingly built up over the past years, for good quality trackdays with high emphasis on discipline among all participants, for the safety and enjoyment of all.

Therefore, The Rev Club will not take kindly to any attempt to cause friction to arise between event organisers, especially not from photographers whose contribution to our trackdays can be described as extraneous at best.

No Misunderstanding here, the phone call was very CLEAR dude and I quote "The Organisors are not happy with you covering Go Pro" How much of misunderstanding can this statement be?

Hey Hello???..... I was asked a question in this thread so I replied as honestly and as diplomatically as I can. Please don't accuse the 'photographer' attempting to cause friction. The friction has already existed [refer to this thread] and you pulled me into it so please don't come in here with your BIG words and tell me otherwise.....

This is where you are wrong. All photographers are required to sign in at the office of the course personnel. Indemnity must be signed and preferences are given to photographers with media accreditation. There is restriction during private track events.

Madkawa,

This is turning into a "my word against yours" game.

But let me break down the situation for you:

We are not contracted to you or anybody and are free to use whoever we want, for whatever reason we want - it's a free market.

Peter Lim asked us to give him a try and we thought that it would be fair to do so, for comparison's sake.

However, I am disappointed with your reaction to this.

A customer has every right to choose and what should be on your mind is making everyone a repeat customer, not pushing them away. This is not good for your business and by no means is your answer diplomatic.

I think we will be reconsidering about asking you to cover our upcoming trackdays in 2010 and 2011.

Remember, no one photographer is free all the time and we always like to keep our options open.

It is strange that someone would prompt a response from Heng on why he is not shooting for us, even though it is common knowledge (it has it's own thread) that Peter Lim shot for us the last time around.

I dont think it would be nice if I asked Madkawa's competitor why they were not shooting at an event Madkawa shot for, right?

I think its safe to assume that people know this already.

It seems as if this is aimed to stir a response.

Please stop with the questions, this is not healthy for any of us.

Would you be so kind as to inform us which accredited Sepang photographer started this practice? :) I can assure you, it was not started by trackday organisers, and neither was it started by SIC.

Oliver, Mahuberani,

It is strange that you would prompt a response from Heng on why he is not shooting for us, even though it is common knowledge (it has it's own thread) that Peter Lim shot for us the last time around.

I dont think it would be nice if I asked Madkawa's competitor why they were not shooting at an event Madkawa shot for, right?

I think its safe to assume that you both know this already, being old hands in this sport and regulars on the forum.

It seems as if this is aimed to stir a response.

Please stop with the veiled questions and disguised motives, this is not healthy for any of us.

Free Market it is , You are free to choose who to cover for you and I am free to go cover whom I like.... thats fine. So why call me and tell me you guys not happy..... and drag me into your 'friction' you have with another organisor.

Well, I have covered for your trackday about 2 years now so don't you find it a bit strange that suddenly I have been dropped for someone else for "comparison sake". Like it or not there is an unwritten thing call common courtesy and it has become very clear to me that you guys have none of it....

btw what you are saying here totally contradicts Trottlestop comment

"There must be some misunderstanding. For the record, Rev Club has NO PROBLEMS with coverage by photographers of track events organised by any other trackday organiser. here you are saying you have appointed peter lim and there he is saying cameraman are free to come and go.......

A customer has every right to choose and what should be on your mind is making everyone a repeat customer, not pushing them away. This is not good for your business and by no means is your answer diplomatic.

OK fine if u say its ur word against mine. I assure people have dealt with me before and the know my word is as good as gold. If you guys were in my shoes and been treated the way i did by you. I would not just be siting at the sidelines feeling chucked away like rubbish.

Why don't you call SIC and ask them

oh let me give you a better example.... what happens if some car manufacturer decided to have a private track day for an unreleased model and they dun want photographers lurking around....
