just wondering.. are u all going anywhere the weekend before 11th (9th and 10th) cos should be joining simon's group, but since they're leaving on Monday (11th April), the weekend becomes a bit wasted. :smile:

If u're looking for a K&N air filter for the Hornet 250, u can use the same one for the Hornet 600. It'll drop right in. But be warned, from what I heard from UK riders, K&N filters tend to mess up the H250's fueling.

 

The Hornet riders in UK compared the effects of K&N & an original new air filters by testing on dynometers. Surprise surprise... the K&N filter performed worse than original, with or without proper tuning... so there, better think abt it hor.

Songkran Trip...

We are Following

Kester & Co...

 

5day trip

 

9th Sat Morning... Sin-Hty

10th Sunday: Relax around Hty...

11th Monday: Hty-Phuket

12th Tues: Phuket-hty (550km)

13th Wed: Hty-Spore (900km)

 

Have not discuss with Kester Yet...

Read his post that 2b bikes may not go...

 

therefore... instead of Sin-ipoh

Go straight to Hty.... (ride is Ok... did it last year with Him 3 nation)

 

Will also check with Simon Soh if we can ride back with Him...

Eg. 13th Apr Hty-Spore.

Will be better if we could...

 

Just may be a little tiring with only one day Off 10th Sun...

 

So... Paul/stardust...

Most welcome to do this itinerary...

But need we need to let Kester Know Soon...

 

Hotel in Phuket should be ok..

Not sure about Hty.. "songkran"

the original air filter can onli be used for 20 000 km.. then u have to replace it wif a new one..

 

i installed a k&n air filter for my 250 pretty recently.. its originally meant for a super4 version s.. fits in juz nicely.. abeit a little mod of cos.. anyway.. i feel no diff in power.. but my butt isnt as accurate as a dyno.. n i didnt went for a dyno when i juz bought my bike.. n after i installed my k&n either..

 

as for messin up of fuelin.. the bike feels super smooth.. so hopefully internally everythin is tickin nicely..

 

i was hopin for a performance boost though.. but at least now i dun have to keep changin my air filter.. :smile:

Water Festival is the most auspicious event in Thailand.

Phuket Bike Week has been 10yrs, an Event of bikes ALL shape & Size.

Enjoying the 2 Best Events in Thailand & Phuket on a single trip.

 

Ride Itinerary:

 

9th April ’05 Sat 7am dep. Fm 2nd Link Esso Petrol Stn to Ipoh – 600km

10th April ’05 Sun 8am dep. Fm Ipoh town to Hatyai – 330km

11th April ’05 Mon 8am dep Hatyai town to Phuket – 550km

12th April ’05 Tue 10am Tour of Phuket – Water Fall, Temples, Scenic Ride

13th April ’05 Wednesday Water Festival Wet & Wild Street Fight.

14th April ’05 Thursday Rest & Recharge, Shopping, Massage, Free & Easy.

15th April ’05 Friday Phuket Bike Week Event

16th April ’05 Sat 9am dep Phuket, Patong Beach to Hatyai – 550km

17th April ’05 Sun 11am dep Hatyai town to Ipoh – 330km

18th April ’05 Mon 9am dep Ipoh town to Sg – 600km

 

NOTE : Due to the possibility of Biker Fatigue after days of Ride & Play, it is safer to stop-over at Ipoh on the return trip. This Itinerary is recommended in the interest of Newbie Bikers and Bikers whom have not done 10hrs ride in a single day.

 

It’s NOT how soon U R There. It’s Simply Being There. Happy Rides. Happy Days.

 

Limited Rooms have been reserved at all destinations. Please confirm early with payment.

Closing Date : 18th March ’05 or when rooms are taken up.

 

Twin Share : S$350.00 per pax. Single Room S$650.00 10 Days / 9 Ngts

Includes ALL accommodations & B’fast at Phuket 5 Star Hotel.

The route to Phuket goes through Trung, Krabi, as per last year 3NCR... hehe...

 

Anyway have a nice ride and see you all in Hatyai... can ride back with me on 13th if you all are not chionging too fast... we planning for dinner in KL, maybe... Simon says got gd western fd in there... just waiting to eat more onli... hehe....
