I think it looks good! To each his own i suppose! A belly pan would enhance the look too! I think honda went through quite a bit in the design department before producing this one. Weight wise, it's really good...600cc at 178kg! The ugly mass at the bottom where the call the exhaust is suppose to aid the CG of the bike or something...oh well...whatever! haha

Hi everybody,

I've been reading almost everything on this forum for months now. I'm looking forward to purchase a 250 Hornet sometime in December. I've been away for years and I'm dying to ride again when I get back to Singapore and most certainly join some of the tours up North. Just want to get a few opinions from people of the nest here. What will I be expecting to pay for a used 250 Hornet, perhaps for a year 99-02? I will eventually be upgrading to class 2 but definitely not anytime soon. Of course I'm more incline to purchase a Hornet or else I wouldn't be posting here, but I'm also not keeping CB400 out of my radar. I realize that there's numerous posts on this comparison issue between the Super 4 and the Hornet, after all, why would you ride a 250 instead of a 400cc within the constrain of the class 2A license? The answer may be really intangible/hard to quantify qualities/absolutely personal reasons; they are as good as any answer to me. Thanks.

Thank You.

guyz, look forward to joining you all. i'm now finalizing the choice between the abs and non abs.

looks like bs and the PIs r fighting hard for the pricing but sadly for the abs version, u hav only 1 door to knock at ie. Looi.

pricing wise, i think this is wat is available :

abs - 19.3k for me (again this is a very ball park figure)

non abs - 17k (pi), 18k (bs)

according to reviews the stock brakes work great coz they are 6-port.well u can always get steel braided hoses for ur non abs.

Hi guys,

I just took my 1st road trip to Malacca over the weekend. After riding on the NS highway, my hands were numb from the vibration of the handle bar. Any way to reduce it? :cheeky:

feel the wind

Change your handle bar end to a heavier one. That will helps in reducing the vibration.

From my experience, which is not much and others may correct me if I'm wrong; there can only be three possible reasons that I can think of.

1. If other riders of the same bike have experienced the same level of vibration then its inherently just the way the bike was engineered.

2. Your wheel bearings might be shot but its usually more pronounced when braking (had that happened to me before).

3. Your rim may be out of round and not balanced, or there are bums on your tire (had that happended to me too).

4. Perhaps fork problem? Don't know enough to comment.

I would go for the cheapest way to deal with this first and move up to the most expensive fix; pretty much a process of elimination.
