More Than 60 bikes are going...

 

The ride itinerary will be as follows:

0830-0900 : Meet @ Gelang Patah ESSO Station for final briefing

1000-1100 : Arrived Yong Peng Town for breakfast (OYO)

: Gas-up for smaller capacity bikes

1200-1230 : Regroup @ Ayer Toll Plaza for convoy riding

1245-1300 : Gas-up @ Ayer Keroh Mobil Station (Just after Jusco)

1330-1400 : Check-in Palace Hotel

1430-1500 : Quick lunch break @ Jetty (On-Your-Own... chicken rice ball?)

1500-1630 : Sea Ferry Ride along Straits of Melaka & Pulau Besar (RM10/pax)

: We have obtained permission to park all our bikes at the compound

: of the Melaka Police Station during the ferry ride.(please pm me your bike reg. number. Thks)

1700 Onwards : Free & Easy (Suggest hornets to have Pernakan dinner/luk-luk & ride back)

 

Sunday(FOR those staying over only)

1100-1130 : Check out Palace Hotel

1200-1400 : Ala Carte lunch provided @ Tom Yam Classic Restaurant ( Ayer Keroh)

1430-1500 : Pagoh R&R for gas-up

1600-1630 : Machap R&R gas-up for smaller capacity bikes

1715-1730 : Gelang Patah ESSO for final gas-up before returning to SG.

 

For those joining in the sea ferry ride, S$5.00 or RM10.00.

The ferry can take up to 50 pax maximum.

 

NOTE:

Most Hornets Are Just Doing the Day Ride.

actually alan.. i wldnt agree wif u on the traditional good looks part..

 

the hornet in its 1st incarnation oredi shocked the market wif its radical styling.. equipped wif a liquid cooled 250cc inline 4 powerplant.. it had a high level upswept silencer and gigantic tires straight off the cbr900.. mono suspension like a sports bike and a slightly racy sittin posture.. dun 4get the diamond shaped backbone tat runs tru the bike.. add this all up.. u get a combination tat never grows old..

Route into Mc...

 

Remember, if u turn around... And see no bikes... U are too fast...

Or U miss a Major turn off which everyone knows about except U...

 

If the bikes are overheating & the buses are overtaking.... U are too slow...

Speed Up.

 

Also... U need to keep a lookout for Cops...

Normally position below Overhead bridges where there's shade...

1. Exit Esso 2nd link - Count 3rd Toll Stn... *Regroup - Turn Left Ist Junction join North-South Highway towards KL/North

 

2. Exit Yong Peng - Wait After Toll Stn to *Regroup - Turn Right 1st Junction towards Yong Peng Town for Famous Yong Tau Foo Breakfast(on the left entering town - I'll take the lead after Yong Peng Regroup)

 

3. After Breakfast: Proceed Back to Yong Peng Toll. *Regroup before entering Highway... Head North for Malacca

 

4. Exit Ayer Keroh(malacca) *Regroup after Toll

Leader of the Entire Group... Ride Master... is "Manap (X9)"

Last Bike of the Gp... "Tony(Red Gold Wing)"

Mag Bikers will provide markers for turn off.

No markers... go straight.

 

On The Way Back:

 

We are on our Own... Vrooooommm...

 

1. Regroup After Toll @ Ayer Keroh before Entering North-South Highway

2. Pit stop: Manap R & R(A Marker will ride ahead to direct Group @ turn off)

3. Next Stop: 2nd Link Esso

(A marker Will ride ahead & be appointed at 2nd link turn off)

 

(if Ghost wanna impart some of his wheelie skill, we can stop @ pontian for a riding upgrade course)

Note:

 

1. If u wanna speed ahead... slow & join the group later or wait @ the next *regroup point

 

2. If u miss the turn... Make a Next U @ the Highway & rejoin us after the turn off toll plaza.

 

3. If u are totally lost... Call my Hp (use +65 infront of no. if u have auto roam, other wise just use public phone @ petrol stn)

Guys, i most likely will stay overnite. Those who wish to stay do let me know, so i can arrange the room. Will be stay at Malacca PURI Hotel, will be with my other 4 friends who is also staying at the same hotel.

 

Per Room is RM100/RM150 2beds with 2 breakfast

 

or Per Room at RM200 comes in 3 beds with 2 breakfast

 

Nite event, go nearby pub for drink and chitchat....

Next early morning go for breakfast and alst min shopping. Then check out..

City Riding In Malacca

 

Sharing the experience learned from the last Ride.

Roads quite complicating

 

1. Always stay behind Leader

2. Keep Close(may filter to the front @ traffic lites... see conditions)

3. If u are held back by Red Traffic lite... we will wait on the left by the rd.

4. Will do a Buddy system... (so we will know quickly if we lose someone)

eg. Flash lite if buddy is lost.

5. Entering Malacca... If u Are totally lost... Proceed to MOKOTA SHOPPING CTR

6. Leaving Malacca... If U are Hopelessly Lost... Proceed to AYER KEROH TOLL PLAZA just before N-S highway. (ask any motorist)

 

Sorry to Give so much Info... (cheong-hey)

But a lot of time will be wasted if we need to look for lost bikes!

Don't want to waste your precious time... lah!
