Does anyone else think the 50 post required for Garage sale posting as excessive?

there's already a alternative for members that do not have 50posts and just registered..

 

there's already many cases of frauds here.. this methods proves to be a better and easier choice but not necessary best one..

people can still register and post, wait for a month and clocking 50posts to pull a fast one out of any members here..

 

there are still a lot of ways to exploit the system and ways to go around it..

 

do help to report any posts if any of you find it suspicious ..

I think 50 is alright. Moreover, the mods will even allow you to bypass the 50 post counts if you are urgently trying to sell something.

i feel the 1 mth + 50 posts is good.. in fact why not higher! (I seldom post myself). I suggest that in order not to have newbies or rare poster putting up sales ad that will benefit regular forummers as well, why not allow those who have not met the requirement to post with a minimal fee? say $2/ad? This will likely minimise spammers

I agree with most of you, it's a good precaution. I'm trying tp raise my post count too and by doing this I realized there are a fair bit of interesting threads!!

In that case SBF and it's management will be accused by a certain group of SBF members for being money grabbing monsters or running it like the P@P. It is so hard to please the majority if you think hard about it.

 

There are already avenues for members who do not meet the 50 post count and 1 month criteria to post their sale items. If they have no ill intentions, what is there to be afraid of?
