2T does not burn and may get stuck in ur valves .

dun do that again .

u may spent more money cleaning the engine ,carbs and valves

here in the philippines we use repsol 4t 15-50w (mineral based) for the 1st 500kms then same oil when you reach 1000kms, after that you can use repsol sintetico 10-40w (synthetic based) oil and change your oil every 2000kms. :thumb:

NO!. u dun wan to change a new engine bcoz of 2T. yes its more powerful as it is a lubricant but it wil jam ur valves soon.. better go service n clean it.

Yeah it's true but Castrol have won a long standing court battle and court ruled thier hydrocracked is synthtic....

I'd rather stick with ester based oils any given day !

Fully Syn 15w50 is too thin for u ??

Gear oil about 60-80w....

it's too thick.....

Gear oil best used for separate gear box like harley, 2 stroke bikes.

4 stroke bikes like Wave is better run on fully syn oils.

Cuz fully syn oils hold their properties longer and thus offer more protection when really need. Whereas semi or hydrocracked oils break down faster and offer less protection to heat.

Fully too thin? I don think so la. I got used before Maxima Extra 15W50. Works wonderful. Where got too thin? The only thing dat i don like abt it is dat it last only aabt 2085km on my wave. Sianz. :sian: Other than dat what i can say Maxima Werks!

It's because u said it's ester base. Ester base means not fully ester. Dat's why i opt Redline and Maxima out. Redline and Maxima most of their products is 100% polyol ester which is why their price is more on the high side.

As for Fuchs Silkolene i think only Pro4 Plus is 100% polyol ester.

Ya It's true Wave is better on fully synthetics because it may offer more mileage and protection dat is if u can afford it. Fully synthetic r expensive!

Whereas semi or hydrocracked oil break down faster and offer less heat and protection to heat?

I don think so. I have been using my Wave on most range of engine oils be it expensive or cheap and now I am still running it wif Hydrocracked oil. Bo taiji. As long as u keep to the drain intervals and monitor the engine oil level. Should be no problem.

To each and own preference.
