any1 know where i can buy those bike cover that have 'mickey mouse' ears meant for the mirrors?

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

i'm just worried that if u get those, u might not be able to use the "mickey ears" lei becus our bikes' mirrors are of the different height... if that is really the case, u might be over stretching on your mirrors end and the "mickey ears" will be left flapping there with no usage... o_O nevertheless if u really wan to find, i'm pretty sure LAB got them... :p

I'm wondering what should I look out for on a bike cover? Material?

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

to me ah, personally, no need to go for the best for bike cover e.g looks, material, blah blah blah...

for looks e.g army styles looks or wadever, dun go for those unless your parking area is very protected... in case of theft...

of cus, try to get those heat resistances one in case some lousy material sticks to your pretty looking exhaust...

even if you get normal quality, if u dun wan the cover to stick to your exhaust, all you need to do is to use a cloth to separate them... this is what i do...

cheers!

i'm still searching for the bike cover that is completely rain proof..

using the LAB $22 okado one.. silver outside, black inside..

after a medium to heavy rain, inside still wet.. my chain still gets rusty spots here n there. wtf!

I bought mine from Sunhogs. it covers the big harleys and does have pckets for the mirrors. about $30. Not sure how it handles the rain as I cover mine under the carpark, more to keep the cats and fingers off. And, dont cover if the bike is too hot, wait like 30 minutes.

seems like some bike cover has similar material like those cheapo rain coat, where the waterproofing layer would deteriorate after some time.

Waterproofing is a must, else it defeat the purpose of having one, heard "Oxford" is a good choice too. Must we tie down the cover onto the bike? Cos I wonder constant strong wind would create problem?

But are you going to wait till the bike cool down before covering up?

yah there are more expensive ones in motoworld, from oxford.. but i dare not buy so expensive cover, to use in a public open air carpark.

confirm kenna stolen, its just a matter of time i think.

thats y i'm stuck with the $20-30 range of bike cover that is not fully waterproof.

anyway i use those black clips to secure the cover against wind.

mine is heat proof, so i cover immediately after riding.. havent had any issue with melting.

I've got mine from motoworld just 2 weeks ago and oxford brand for $60. Good material and big enough to hide my road king away from cats and itchy fingers!

Cheap heat resistant bike covers are good enough.

After all, even if no one steals your Ducati limited edition bike cover, it will still smell of CAT URINE after 2 months!!

that is true... hmmm...

i would love to lace my covers with arsenic... y'know... just saying :p

got mine custom made at Yap Sin Huat at King Georges Ave opp Jln Besar Stadium $40, bike Fazer 6 S2 with large Givi E55 top box. Good sturdy waterproof textile material.

cool... thanks for the lead

i'll go check it out

in fact, that's cheaper than my LAB Okado which allows water through in heavy down pours -_-'...

Using $22 MotoFizzi 3XL size cover from LAB since October last year. No problems with rain, cats, etc.

Actually I purposely let the cat stay there. At my workplace there will be another cat that sleeps on the bike. No urine so far :D
