if u wanna save money on the long run,get a rxz..for speed and power for sure tzm will win but for savings and maintenance wise, rxz will win..tzm is no more in the production now so u will find only Ms that are used and abused where as rxz has got 1st hand bikes..maintenace wise, both are 2 stroke bikes which uses 2t but tzm has coolant which will add on to the amount...spare parts for rxz are super cheap across the causeway and u can do loads of mods to rxz..insurance wise better go shop qoute for both bikes

for me tzm better handling.

Tzm need more TLC than rxz tho.

Rxz quite easy to make it faster. Duno about tzm.

Rxz nice to put box.

If money no issue, recommend u tzm.

the newer one, normal handle.

Like hard to maintain a line in corner.

Try compare mito razor sharp handling, rxz is like the other extreme.

Its juz my personal experience lah, maybe some fren here can advice.. Hehe.

Its your riding style. Like for me, i find cubs, street bikes, sports bike, easy to handle. When on a chopper, you see me like a fish out of water. Not smooth, stable and confident.

Agreed. First time in my life i hear people say RXZ handling weird. Its one of the most predictable bikes man...

Maybe its because its too predictable that's why.. btw wat's the difference between the two bikes that makes the handling different?

its chassis, suspension, riding position, wheelbase and rim/tyre width.

Cagiva mito is like razor blade, very sharp handling.

Haha how to explain to u.

Like really follow the 'racing'(cornering) line.

U plan and choose the line then u dedicate to it.

Rxz is like more liberal u can take any line and adjust accordingly midway.

Tzm is in between.

just to share with you, i've been wanting to get a tzm to project for some time already, but have recently gotten a sonic instead for transport.

Maybe in the future. Hehe.

Remember tzm is fairly old, so keep in mind a lot of thing might need replacing to keep it tip top. Or better if u can find one in tiptop condition.

Its got power valve which accordin to owners need frequent service. Quite easy job and shouldn't be expensive. And can learn to do uself.

Try going from tiny cub to Phantom. The first few weeks riding the thing is like trying to sayang an awakening monster. It mostly is good at going straight, because at certain speeds the bike feels like it can understeer and oversteer at the same time.

But after a while... I love to play corner with Phantom at whatever speed. Braking is even optional in some road courses.

Just takes some getting used to the chassis-specific handling. Maybe some DIY stuff to make it fit the rider.

I'd expect fooling around on an RXZ is going to be much easier than using Phantom as a sportsbike, which is for lack of a better word, incredibly entertaining every single time.

Yeah, handling on a phantom is weird at first. But after a few minutes, you will get the feel. Its all to do with getting used to. Like when i first rode on a PX150, it feel like a popping bathtub on wheels! Handling was super weird to me. But it was super fun. Haha.

1.3K for RXz insurance now? When I last rode it 2 years back it was only few hundreds... I thought RXZ is under naked catogary and should be cheaper than fairing bike.

Which one will you choose

in terms of money, is RXZ

reliability, is RXZ

speed, is TZM

power is TZM

maintenance? is RXZ (no power valve) easier to maintain.

I'm 19.. Insurance for 19 years old if using TZM is much much higher than RXZ. TZM Sports bike and RXZ commuting bike.

In the end it is up to user preference.

As for my opinion? Of course i would choose RXZ with a steering damper for my commutting to and fro for work and leisure. Power. Last time my RXZ got steering damper for stablity even when cornering. Maintenance wise also cheaper than TZM. Adios.

If i were you, i would choose RXZ instead of TZM.

I was like you when i got my license. In love with TZM.

A pretty bike, a nice smooth ride, perfect in cornering and i don't need to mention about its power. But all this nice things comes a disadvantage. Maintaining it. There's always a problem with the Valve Servo, even if u change to a brand new one, within 3 months, it will start to give you problems. Really need to take care of its engine, need to go service regularly.

So overall, its a perfect bike with a pain in the @$s.

But till date, i still love TZM. Its a matter of finance.

My Recommendation

Between TZM n RXZ

Money No Problem? - TZM

Money Got Problem - RXZ

Others

Got Money Problem but you want a fairing bike - KRR
