Just fixed the helibar yesterday .. freeplay on the right side is very tight .. a bit touching the switch .. My extension wind screen is a bit off position due to the mounting plate double sided sticker not holding firmly ..

Its still ok (a bit touching the sw)..

Try riding a while and did feel the differences .. slow speed riding is much easier .. 2 years riding vfr n finally fix the posture correctly ..

highly recommended .. my opinion ...

Aiming to go for long distance .. hee hee .

Hi Muddy,

Sorry. Long time nvr read .. The forum is quite quite quiet ...

Get fr Ebay ..

The price is quite standard throughout the stores ... (I thk $298, mean any store u can get fr US). The difference is on the shipping cost ..

Plus u need to installed on the bike .. not too difficult if follow carefully with the manual supplied .. spend around 2 hrs ... Read and prepare exactly ..

By the way, the bar is v near to the tank and the wind screen . a couple of mm .. Mine slightly touches the extended windscreen when turning to the extreme left ... Its ok for me ..

Let me know if u had any other question.

Congratulations. I'm sure you'll enjoy the ride. Meng Tong of Sporting Motors services my bike. Have been with him from the Looi's Motor days. For oil I use Amsoil MCF fully synthetic.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to send it to service this weekend as previous owner can't remember when was the last service.

From street bike change to sport touring bike. The posture still torturing my back now.

Where you guy get the accessories?

Btw, my seat saddle cover is broken and no idea how to fit it.

If you intend to get Meng Tong to service your bike, please call them quickly as he will be away in Melbourne for some Royal Enfield training starting end Sep. Worst case, arrange for servicing when he's back. He'll be away for a week I believe.

As for seat cover, you can get it replaced at Jalan Besar area. There are a few shops that do seat cover replacement.

:-) I understand. I've got helibars on mine. It helps. But can't say much about the one in the picture. If you want to feel how the raised helibars feel like, drop me a pm.

My old waist can't tahan too after few ride at last week. T__T

3 years on street bike and changed to sport touring... still need a long time to adapt it...

Just removed both side fairing to install slider but broke a clip... Where can I buy it back? Can I get it at BS?

IMG_6086.jpg

Btw, my bike has the low speed jerky and very obvious noise from shaft problem. Especially at speed 40-60km/h on 2nd or 3rd gear.

Can I go to BS to update the ECM and roughly how much it would be charged since warranty is out.

**I will use this bike as daily use vehicle and this problem make me hard to ride it at low speed. =_=

For the clips, you can try FJT. If they don't have it, you can ask them to order in for you.

I don't seem to have the low speed jerky issue or shaft noise. But I'll have to try 2nd or 3rd at 40 - 60 km/h. At those speed I am usually on 4th or 5th gear.

Thanks again. Will go have a look at this weekend.

Just got my SW-Motech Alu Rack and Double Stand, hopefully this time won’t break something again. Btw, it’s fun for the DIY.

Got some sharing, when I was looking around for second hand unit at pass few weeks. I saw many units on sale either by shop or personal. Total 8 units; half is DCT and half is manual. I heard form BS sales that next year will introduce new generation VFR…

I tried going on 2nd and 3rd gear at 40 - 60 km/h. Didn't get the jerky feeling. Are you referring to the jerk when you go from close throttle to open throttle? If so, that is the character of the V4 engine. The torque is stronger and you don't get the smooth gradual feel like an inline 4.

Maintaining throttle on 2nd or 3rd gear at speed about 40-60km/h.

Can clearly hear a steel knocking sound from the shaft direction and it's jerking.

Have do pressing clutch and release back or holding in half clutch.

Tonight I'm going to verify it again.
