Michelin to Recall Pilot Power 2CT and Pilot Power 120/70 ZR 17 Front Motorcycle Tyres

(STOKE-ON-TRENT – 15 June 2007) – Michelin has launched a campaign to recall its Pilot Power 2CT and Pilot Power 120/70 ZR 17 front motorcycle tyres with “Made in France” markings. An examination of these tyres showed a possible defect in the tread due to a manufacturing irregularity. No cases of pressure loss have been reported and no accidents have occurred.

 

Because customer safety is its primary concern, Michelin has decided as a precaution to replace certain 120/70 ZR 17 Michelin Pilot Power 2CT and Michelin Pilot Power front tyres, which can be identified by the following markings on the sidewall:

 

* a “Made in France” label

* DOT 6UCW 980T or DOT 6UCW 979T

 

These tyres will no longer be sold by dealers.

pls chk your tyres if you r using 2CT, mine have and i am seeing how i can get it sorted out.

 

 

No wonder my 2 set of 2CT keep losing air on the front tyre.Then can go change?? hehehe... But like that front tyre new and rear old, not even leh.. Can change both or not?? For safety sake!!!!

ya.. get the most comprehensive insurance coverage.. then i can feel free to buang the bike.. test how fast they will take to compensate me.. :)

guys.. any idea which company offer the most competitive rate for motorcycle insurance premium? i got a quote for 2nd party fire n thief which is abt $500.. for a 1L sports bike .. isit consider expensive? any other cheaper options?

i dunno looks like i hv to go put in some air pressure tmr as well. i called michelin sg but no one called me bk yet kaoz.

Nope. Yesterday night, went to JB with 7sixxer but had to touch and go cos my mrs smsed that my kids crying non-stop and she can't handle them alone. Travelled 180km/hr -200km/h all the way home from BKE, SLE and TPE. Carbon still not clear yet... :sian:
