Halo Bro Aie ,

Last week I went there and spoke to "your mechanic" ... asked him some questions on my clutch problem and realised that I can't trust him ...

His PC tuning charge increased to $150 ... wah I better stick to Unity ...

Btw PC3 is not made and tuned for track use only ... it also let you have smoother ride on road also ... in terms of throttle response and acceleration ..

Let the good times roll .

I need an advise over here.i was cought by ROV,and they say my head light not pass cuz is blue in color. i tot of DIY as i already bought e bulb, i read the owner's manual, they say unscrew e screw at e meter there and lift up the meter, but when i try to lift it up, it seems stuck there. like there is somthing i muz unscrew 1st. yup. 11/07/07 wil b my nx inspection date. pls help.can call mi n guide mi as i seldom online at night.

Just unscrew the one and only screw, and pull the meter outward. There is still 2 more tab holding on to the meter that why you feel it is stuck. The tab is only secure by 2 rubber holes, thus abit more force should be able to release it.

So up to now, you still telling ppl that maxima is good and that other brand oil is not up to standard, i am also talking users in general. You can recommend maxima 5W50 to the user here, and what proof you have that the oil suit our newer bike with slipper clutch best?? Telling mi to ask the 2 ppl you mention before?? so are they not are also using their own preference.

Than you are again saying that fuch pro4 15W50 is thick, but i use the maxima extra before. and it comfirm not as good as the pro4.

And again you will say it mine personal preference, but i am been using it till now ,and my bike is still in great shape, so it that a enough proof for you that i say 15W50 is not thick as what you should say.

Maxima have it good EO , like what you say 5W50, but having saying to here , how many EO company produce 5W50 EO???

So can i say you are promoting maxima 5W50 EO to ppl here.

If that the case , i am fine with that. Dun need to say 10W50 no good lah, 15W50 too thick lah, i am using that 2 grade of EO for almost 2yr.

Than at the end of the say tell ppl to use 5W50 where so many EO company dun produce that grade of EO.

No, i never just say Maxima is good and others is bad, u only need to dig up my posts. Can go read up my 4T section in advertiser section, I agree there are other good stuff out there.

Extra 15W50 is thick, Pro4 15W50 is thicker. I know Pro4 very well because I used and also helped you buy a whole lot, rem? I am getting tired of saying this, you have your preference, does not mean that's the general consensus.

Why not you refer to the specs rather try to argue in circles. I dun cut in to 'promote' Maxima when people say some other brand is good. This is in reply to query on Maxima product. Typical 10W50 is weak, proof given. I present facts, I hope you present some too.

You say your bike is fine, good, let's see some pictures of the insides.

Never said all 5W50 is 'perfect' viscosity, only say Ultra 5W50 works well. All the while I have been driving that 5W50 Ultra is closer to a 10W40 and recommend people to use thinner oils like 10W40 for certain bikes, except the Extra 10W40.

These are facts, I also agree some Maxima grades also can be too 'thin', hence trying to help the original person who asked about his bike's performance with Extra. I don't think u read what I said very well at all.

Thanks to all bros for your responses. Now I shall use the multi-quote function to answer your queries...

wah 168km then reserve? ur bike got feel extra powerful anot?

1st qns: did u top it to the brim like u always do?

2nd qns: were u extra throttle-happy after u got the bike back?

IMO, the FC is WAY too jialat already.

While a PC3 may help to a certain extent, it shld not be the cure to tis new FC problem.

Meaning, u shld sort out the problem b4 dropping more cash on a PC3

The funny thing is, indeed my bike feels lighter and much more powerful compared to before I send it for valve clearance. The pick up speed is much faster and I can reach speeds of above 180km/h quickly when compared to last time before servicing.

1st question : Yes, indeed I filled my tank up to its brim with Shell Racing petrol from JB like I always do. If top up in Singapore with fuel consumption that high, I sure :faint:

2nd question : I wasn't really throttle happy cos I haven't got the chance to go 2nd link. Don't dare to whack above speeds of 180km/h in Singapore...

something is very wrong....

normal should be about 240 - 260 before reserve light come on....

but did u try to see whether izzit really reserve or the reserve switch in the tanks spoil ??

eg. full tank the bike than cruse at a low speed for 10 to 20 km than top up again...

to see how much u need to top up...

or did ur petrol tank leak ??

Really reserve bro cos when I checked the tank, it wasn't even half full and nope, my tank is not leaking...

scarly is marketing "tactic" :deal:

Quite possible. When I went to Unity, Ah Xiong recommended me to fix PC3. Now when I went to Tachyon, Ah Tak also asked me to fix PC3. Seriously, I'd rather buy PS3 than PC3 at the moment...

Halo Bro Aie ,

Adjust fuel supply amount by :-

Press select and reset , turn the key to "ON" and hold for a few seconds ,

screen will show "Analog" .. press select and it will change to "CO"..

press select and reset again for 3 seconds and it will show "C1" then

press select and reset again for 3 seconds and it will show :-

" C1 10(example) "

then press select to reduce the right side figure to about 7 , then press

select and reset again and it show "C1" .. press reset to change to "C2"

and press select and reset again for 3 seconds and it will show :-

" C2 6(example) "

then press select to reduce the right side figure to about 2 , then press

select and reset again and it show "C2" .. then turn your key to off ...

Above stated adjustment will affect your fuel supply from idling to 4k rpm range ... as long as you reduce the figure , the fuel will be leaner ...

I know how to adjust the CO setting from the last time you taught me and the last time kambing refreshed my memory. My settings now are C1=3, C2=5, C3=8 and C4=9. If these settings are too rich, what's the best settings for leaner fuel???

Bro, I went to Unity last time when you recommended me and frankly, I wasn't satisfied with the service there. The next time we meet, I'll tell you in detail what happened...

Bros, need some help here. I've already send my bike for full servicing and valve clearance. Yesterday I discovered that after topping up full tank, my reserve light came on only at 168km. Si bey jialat leh the fuel consumption. I've checked with my mechanic and he advised me to fix PC3 which costs $630. :giddy: Are there any other solutions other than fixing PC3? I don't go to the tracks so I don't really see a need for it...

i can conclude your bike has not gone for servicing for quite awhile,.

Yup. I bought the bike when the mileage was 50K and then it got 'laid up' for about 11 months cos I cannot ride due to my slipped disc previously. My bro-in-law maybe rode the bike once every three weeks while it was 'laid up'. I did send it for the standard servicing in October last year and February this year though. Valve clearance only last month in June cos the pick up was slow and the bike felt 'heavy'... :giddy:

I am also getting tired of saying this, you have your preference(5W50), does not mean that's the general consensus.

Let's just stop talking about you and your personal needs for a sec, this is about users in general. Since u clearly stated you recommended any 10W50, this is the example I gave and showed how this is bad advice. You can have your own preference, stated this repeatedly, but that's you. This isn't about you. It is about general consensus.

This is about technical facts, here are the facts presented, not something I can tell u in conversation as it will be who shout loudest win. I don't like to shout, I believe any reasonable person can make their own conclusion base on facts. Their choice may also be different based on their perspective and motivation.

I still dun have what fact you prove to mi, " bad advice" is that a link?? if that is, that is a broken link. And i am not been talking about mi, if i have not use the product , i wont have recommend it. Dun tell mi the EO i use will casue my engine to blow, if that the case, it should have blow by now. Dun need to open up engine to see also will know lor.
