nope riding fast doesnt consume more petrol from my observation. if say u in 4th gear 8k rpm travelling at 110km/h(guessing the speed here) and u at 6th gear at 4k rpm (same speed 110km/h) u consume lesser petrol by riding in 6th gear. thats y i ask which gear u ride at..as in ur riding style that made u reach 200km for FC.

anyways pls feel free to correct me if i am wrong.

i noticed for mine, sometimes i open throttle occasionally and don't open the mileage same one :faint:

example: from 2nd link malaysia custom to sg custom. open throttle and don't open throttle, same mileage

That depends on your luck also. If open throttle along NSH and kena stopped by the police, you lugi kena pay kopi money or worse, arrested for so-called illegal racing if you happen to be speeding with some other biker pals... :giddy:

Some people measure their adventures in miles or days. I prefer "lamp posts".

sorry if i interrupt, in my opinion, if realli care abt FC then perhaps R1 is not realli a good choice. R1 = power = fast = performance = thirsty

so just feed the thirsty beast with mogas & enjoy the ride...

that's easy for you to say......... http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x23/Tyrael7/slap.gif

but seriously, i would normally agree with what milan said.

however, 200km for a full tank should be the lowest that it should go , in my opinion.

Ya lor. That was why that time after my valve clearance, heart damn pain when on full tank, once my mileage reached 168km only, the reserve light lit up... :slapforehead:

Ha! I know what you mean...I've had my bike since Dec 07, and it's only been washed 5 times!

Even then, only on one of those 5 times did i actually do it myself.

The rest of the time, it was washed at some manual car wash. =)

But now that i've found a nearby place that washes bikes, I've decided to try and get my baby washed at least once a week...erm.. or maybe fortnight...if i can force myself to get off my lazy ass.

haha then u can shake hands w that rider. that rider had the bike last dec as well! :cheeky:
