damn kinda feel abit sad for this problem

 

no need to sad bro....

im still proud like hell with my 08 ....its a small problem, hope the fine tuning fix it clearly.....

 

ok guys....this the thread i talk about.....hope all of 07/08 owners try the stall fix method....

i never guarantee this method, i just help all of u guys, me myself also has this stall problem....if the problem still there dont blame me....:thumb:

yah... bt sometimes, for new bikes, the bike shop got no COE on hand.. so they need to bid for the COE.... they will quote u the prevailing price of the COE for yr OTR price and then they will bid upon yr confirmation of order.....if COE is higher than what they quoted u.. u have to top up... if it is lower, they also won't refund u.......( subjected to different practice of different bike shops)

he is a workshop manager of a Yamaha dealer at South Africa, maybe he know this fine tuning from their service dept at his shop....maybe....

he also tell me, no performance affected with this tuning, this tuning only regulate the air mixture in the idle rpm ( 0 % throttle position) where the stall occurs....

 

hahaha....no matter what style u ride ur bike, when the stall come, it will stall.....o_O

 

so what ur riding style now..??? please tell me....

wah bro u very humble la.. i was constantly behind/beside u and u telling me u cant see me? ur helmet visor got prob ah? wear tinted visor is it?

i guess so. i only experienced the probs when i SLOW down and when i am in 1st/2nd gear. thus i think ur explanation stands.

 

Your stalling may not be TPS problem.

 

'Cos when the TPS has a problem, the bike won't just stall when you idle and clutch it in. At 1/4 to 1/2 throttle input, the bike could jerk as if you're wanking the throttle.

 

The TPS basically sends your throttle position as a value/signal to the ECU. Like a potentiometer, or a position sensor. Having a dirty (or grease/debris inside it... like the 04-05R1) TPS means that the signal sent is all screwed up.

 

HL recommended a replacement of both TPS'es. A friend and I ripped open the bike and simply sprayed GT85 into the TPS'es to solve the problem.

 

u wanna tear open my bike and help me solve the prob or not? and fix back for me? else i will tear u apart next time i see u.:angel:
