Vehicle inspection??

nope, its not a second hand...its parallel import, which i guess, doesnt go thru LTA checks for new vehicles..sumtin like dat, n dats why i had to go for inspection every yr

Before any vehicle be it new or PI, they have to be send for inspection by LTA before it can be allowed for sales and registration..

 

Anyway, my k7 is a PI by Mah Pte, and no, i didnt go for any vehicle inspection yet..

yup!! i didnt knw dat untill i sign the bloody paper, then the sales person told me its a P.I n i need to send it for inspection every yr but dats not an issue, jus dat the rectifier **** up in juz one week.

 

is it ? i got a friend who got his k8 600 last year , and its a PI bike . he has the same rectifier problem by is covered by shop warranty they change it for him . but he doesn't need to go for inspection untill the third year le .

Ok, for any parts fault which is acknowledge by Suzuki itself, it would be covered under warranty within the period whereby it's covered and if it fails.

 

For PI, it's only about recalls or faulty parts acknowledge by Suzuki which is nt covered by the local distributor Guan Hoe(Have to see if ur PI side steady to cover not).

 

Other than that for the yearly vehicle inspection, just wait for the letter to come..

It's a piece of shi*tty hardware by Suzuki i must say..

 

Remove mine the 2nd day after i got my bike...

no need la. all vehicles must be checked b4 they can be registered, and only vehicles that are more than 3 years old must go for yearly inspections...

change loh. unless you already have a manual cam chain tensioner then just adjust accordingly... its no danger really, unless u really wack your bike very hard frequently... planning to change mine already.... $$

anyone know what prob it is ? am riding a 07g600 , after i start my engine , there is this " tiak tiak tiak" sound in the engine , is it the timing chain problem ?

 

most probably is valve clearance... but u send to shop...

most likely they tell u is timing chain + tensioner + etc etc...

want to make money mah... but it's good to change....

since u going to open it up... so it's up to u...

 

hello everyone, a week ago, i juz got myself a first hand Parrallel import K8 750..i rode it for one week, n my batt went flatt.. As i stop at a junction n the engine was hot, i decided to switch it off, and as the light abt to turn green(abt a few sec afta switchin off my eng) the start up checks went normally but i cldnt crank the engine, sound like a flatt battery which it is. so i send back to the shop n afta a few days, they call bak to say it was a faulty rectifier and i've to pay for a new rectifier( the warranty doesnt cover replacement of parts, which is crap). i end up takin my bike to my own preferred mechanic n had to bare the cost for a new rectifier. I wonder if any of u guys had encounter the same problem...my rectifier doesnt look original, had no markings on it or anithing..wonder if this rectifier wer factory fitted or being swap as my bike was a parallel import.

 

could be a flat batt... or could be a damage rectifier or coil... u need to test...

i'm sure everyone in this forum riding a 600 also kena b4... right? haha~

and i heard PI california spec bike hav power cut... not sure thou...

anybody experioence LOUD clack clack clak when start ur 09 in the morning (cold start up)...???

my 09 will clack clack clack VERY LOUD at cold start up....it will heard about 20 sec....then dissapear.....

starting to annoy me....

bro mine also got but only on cold start but for only 5 sec on start up.. it's the CCT, i read reviews saying tat it's normal unless u wanna change to a manual tensioner.
